waist of f@#$ing time. they are rude and if its about a paid posting your screwed. they dont have a actual person that you can speak to about an issue! you can only read the 'help forum, submit an email, or feedback." how screwed up is that! i have tried all 3 and wrote several emails and i am still wating!!! i wrote one almost a yr ago!!!!

Customer service is horrible. If you have a problem you are SOL. My biggest complaint is you use their site and sale items and that part is great except you are allowed to flag a ad and they delete it without question. This is wrong because I will say that 90% of the ads are good ads but if someone is selling somthing similar they flag your ad and delete it. That is wrong. They need to justify why the ads is wrong. I know its free but if they put forth some effort they might get a better reputation and even make money. I would pay to use the site but not when you can delet anyones ad without question.

I had 3 email accounts. One of them suddenly asked for a phone verification however it kept saying that it was associated with another account. Whatever the problem was I called Craigslist...didn't get any where with customer support...BUT immediately after hanging up all 2 of the accts are immediately on hold and the other while it seems to have disappeared is apparently still active since if I try to recreate it the system says its already there..AND ALL CRAIGSLIST CUSTOMER SUPPORT CAN TELL ME IS TO EMAIL THEM THE PROBLEM.....WHAT KIND OF B--L S--T IS THAT.

Craig's is having a lot of problems these days.

I mostly post apartment rentals and have had a craigslist account for over a year. Recently when posting a listing i have had the reset password forced on me AFTER i entered my ad and previewed it. Bam there is the reset password link where the captcha should be.

I reset the password and then are told my phone number needs to be verified which does not work. The call or text message never comes. There used to be an option to call for verification but it's been removed from Craig's phone system prompts.

I know it's free and there are problems with spammers, but this system that does not work is punishing legitimate users of Craigslist.

I had the problem with the phone authentication everyone here speaks of and waited until Monday, called the number in the listing, pressed 7 (the number the recording gives for paid ads and housing) and waited about 2 minutes to speak to a human. Told her my story, told her about the postings I'd seen on the internet about the issues people have with getting no help, and voila she fixed it manually and 15 minutes later I was able to post again... thank you to everyone who posted on this, I think this may be why they are now handling the problem. And, thank you to Craigslist and the lovely human customer service person who solved my problem. Joanne

I have been using CL for about two years for my business. I have 4 ads and I rotate deleting/reposting them to keep them current. I do not rely on CL for all of my business advertising but have installed HUNDREDS of jobs generated directly from CL and more still from referrals based on those jobs. All for the very reasonable price of NOTHING. I have had many e-mails from "craigslist" requesting I verify this that or the other. I ignore all of them as I assume they are attempts to get my password etc. by hackers or those who are looking to hijack my account or gain personal information. I believe it is stated in the CL terms of use that they will never request your password or personal information and in two years I have never had a problem. We are really getting something for nothing and your only part is to read the terms of use and follow them. Pretty simple and I think it takes a special person to complain about that. If the FREE SERVICE provided to you is not good enough start up your own list, god knows there are enough people out there that think they can do better. They all spam me from my CL ad telling me how great their site is, you know the site nobody has ever heard of.

I joined craigslist about 2 weeks ago to sell some furniture since I am moving in a month - bought a digital camera to post pics - posted about 5 ads - came back today to repost and add some new ones - they say I need phone verification - so I spent all day trying to do it and now they say I requested it too much - but they never sent it to me. Can't set up a new account cause now they have my phone number in their system - and I am not going to get a new phone number since I am moving in a month - until I move for pities sake! I know people who post hundreds of items and never have any problem - I am totally disgusted! I can't even access their forums. They only give a 5 minute window to do the phone verification - not long enough and how are you supposed to get it and write it down? I don't understand why they don't verify some easier way. They just suck!!

I have sent 83 emails to craigslist only to be sent to a website that my computer claims has a virus. Never once contacted.Craigslist is minus customer service. Not one return email asking me for help. If you own a business seek else where to send your money for customers

might i just add, that Craigslist has an "F" rating on the Better Business Bureau website? with 68 complaints not being responded to?

Isn't there SOMEONE out there that can make a site just like Craigslist, but have it function better?
