CALL UPS TO PICK-UP A PACKAGE FOR MY DAUGHTER. ASKED WHAT I NEEDED TO TAKE WITH ME TO PICK UP THE PACKAGES AND WERE TOLD TO HAVE PICTURE ID WITH ME. WHEN I GOT THERE TO PICK UP MY PACKAGES WERE TOLD I NEEDED A LETTER FROM MY DAUGHTER SAYING I WAS ALLOWED TO PICK UP HER PACKAGES AFTER I DROVE 25 MILES TO GET THERE AND THEN HAD A RUDE PERSON BEHIND THE DESK. SO I LEFT WITH OUT MY DAUGHTER PACKAGES FOR COLLEGE.

Waited all afternoon for pkg; guy puts sticker on my door saying "sorry you were not home" when in fact I was home, waiting.
UPS Guy never knocked on door, made no effort to notify me or announce his prsesene, simply put the sticker on door and left. Very Bad Service !
Very Bad practice!

On the 20th of Aug I placed an order with Amazon and when it didn't show up I checked the shipping record with UPS (the shipper) which showed delivery on the 25th but to a different town. When the lady at Amazon checked with UPS they essentially said tough luck - it had been delivered. She re-ordered the item for me but their system wouldn't allow me to not use UPS again. I called UPS customer service and was told that it was delivered to my house. I live way out in the country - it was not delivered here nor to any of my very distant neighbors and the UPS tracking system confirmed that it was delivered in the other town. When I re-explained this to the UPS guy, he insisted that the other town was just the UPS terminal and that it was shipped to my address. It clearly shows on the UPS tracking info that it was delivered to someone's front door at 1:33 in the other town(no address shown). I can't believe that this is the best answer that they can give me. I hope that the second item re-ordered doesn't end up at some door step in the other community again. I also hope that Amazon in the future will find a way to allow people to request a shipper of choice. If UPS can't even get my product to the right community and then insist that they did I hope to not use UPS in the future for any shipping needs.

Have our payroll checks delivered UPS every two weeks. Suppose to get them by 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Most cases they show up at exactly 5 p.m. This last pay they came at 6:16 by the tracking of our payroll. They left a note they would return the next day between 2-5 p.m. No they did not. Tracked again, the package was left at the shipping dept., so guess what they were suppose to deliver it today, Friday. No show again, my employees are very upset they did not get their pay, I have to go to the office tomorrow to see what story I get again. I think the payroll company needs to choose something else than UPS.
Besides you can not even reach anyone by phone to get answers, just a machine telling you it is in transit. Ha!

We had a package sent to us overnight that required an adult signature to deliver. We received a call with the tracking number, but my pen stopped working and I missed some of the numbers, so was unable to track it on-line. We had to be away from home for a couple of hours and of course, this is when the driver attempted to deliver the package. The note from the driver indiated that they would try again Monday, but we were going to be out of town for that week...
I was on the phone attempting to track the package to see if we could pick it up at the main terminal here, when the doorbell rang and who should be there but the UPS Driver. She said she had another package to deliver close to our home, and since the package stated that it was "Perishable", she thought she would give it one more try to see if she could deliver it today! Man, were we ever surprised and really, really pleased that she had given us another shot! I wish I had asked her for her name - she deserves some real praise for going the extra mile. You have an excellent employee, there - both of us are lucky!

Several months ago, I did not receive one part of a 2 part delivery. UPS claimed it was delivered but stolen. Personally I do not believe it was ever delivered. However, I filled out the claim form as they required. Fast forward to this week when I came home to find their delivery sticker on my door, with "signature required" checked. I signed on the back & left the sticker on my door. Next day find the original sticker plus a second sticker. Signed that one and left BOTH stickers on the door. Came home third day to find THREE stickers on the door. After 3rd attempt they will hold package for pickup at their office, which I did. Happened to catch the driver the next day as he was making another delivery and he advised that since I had reported a package stolen, he is no longer allowed to leave packages without me signing in person. I am rarely home during the time they make their deliveries. So this means that for every package shipped to my address I will have to make a trip to the UPS office to pick it up. I will try to call them to clear up this problem but having dealt with their customer service in the past I do not hold out much hope. I'll take USPS any day.

I used to work there...until you have, you don't understand exactly how frustrating it is. Fragile packages come flying down the slides to the trucks anyway, and could very well be crushed under a heavy box before they ever get to the loaders. You don't always have time to take extra care to load certain packages, especially in the busy trucks. So take it from someone who, unfortunately, used to work there; disregard a few dents and dings, as many times the boxes come to the loaders ALREADY ripped and bent. It's a flawed, inefficient system, so be happy you get your packages at all.

I had a friend that use to work at ups and he said that they abused all the packages when loading them into trucks, also he said that he would never use ups to ship anything and he even worked there. Also the things marked fragile where often even treated worse. I , ups stands for United Package Smashers!!! they need to go under or at least get some better managers in their hub and install cameras to see the abuse of our property. thanks jw
