Hi I think a simpler approach would help us Mr Fixits out here. A COLOR pic of old wires fitting into new system thermostat would suffice. Maybe an experienced set of instructions and a simple set of instructions.
Read the reviews below to see the experience other people have had when dealing with customer service from Honeywell.
I too have issues with Honeywell. I prefer to speak with someone from the U.S. and not a foreigner, hard to understand them when asking complex questions.
My electronic air cleaner (F300E) now 4 years old has begun to MELT. I called Anish from India and he emphasizes to me, turn the unit off, it is a fire hazard. OK
Honeywell has not responded yet. That was several days ago. My son is a severe asthmatic and has not stopped sneezing since it was turned off. So, this unit does its job when functioning. But, so far poor customer service on Honeywells part.
I contacted Honey Well Customer support to get an answer about an aquastat solid state replacement. Phone was answered quickly but was informed to call my supplier whom had told me to contact Tech at honey well and by the way I told them whom I worked for which is one of the largest contractors in the world very disapointed in tech service. My supplier is now trying to get the answers and also is having troubles .
Purchased a new Prestige thermostat. I tried to contact contractor service since I was sure homeowner service could not help. After waiting 5 minutes for phone to answer, the associate (named Jason) immediately transferred me to Homeowner service who could not help and suggested I contact an HVAC repairman. I have also tried to use some of the Honeywell online documentation on this thermostat. The installation documentation refers to a web site for the ISU translation tables and they are not available as far as I have been able to tell. Overall I am extremely disappointed in this companies customer service policy and I will be glad to pass this information on to anyone I can.
I am John from two posts below this one.
I tried one last time to call customer service
and explain the problem. I reached a different
representative (US this time not INDIA). I explained problem, she put me on hold while I guess she spoke to her supervisor, and she got back on and said she'll mail part. It came in and in 5 minutes the humidifier was working again. I guess the lesson here is call back when you don't get the representative with the answers you want.
I called to ask a question about your oil electronic aquastat - L7103.
I was told that Honeywell does not support this.
I was told I needed to contact a local contractor.
Why?
I'm a mechanical engineer and have replaced hot water heaters and even my gas boiler.
Do you take this position to transfer work to local contractors?
I bought a whole house 360A humidifier,
electrician installed, worked great then failed after less than one year.
I called customer service (INDIA) and explained I verified electricity goes to unit, water goes to unit, but still fails to run fan or solenoid. He wants me to volt check electric lines or call electrician back to check unit. I said I'm not electrician nor want to pay 100 to check unit.
I know the problem must be the circuit board and asked for replacement of front cover which contains circuit board. He said in so many words NO.
I'll never buy their products again.
Terrible customer service. First, it was hard to understand these Indians, I was put on hold several times because they have no clue. There was no resoulation to my problem or maybe there was and I just could not understand what they say. I am sending the product back. Furthermore, I will never buy another Honeywell product
we had purched plant for wood heat treatment which includes honey well datalogger is supplied with it. after @ 6 monthes of installation of plant we had got problem of blank screen of instrument on asking to honeywell they reply you have to contact to your plant supplier which is demanding Rs:5000 for visit for problem reporting and demand for 15 days time for that. By facing this type of many hurdels we had got repaid it after one year.
we heatly request not to purchase any honey well product because they spent lot of efforts for advertisement but not a single for servise support.
Dear Honeywell,
Please hire customer service representatives that speak English. I have spent a frustrating twenty minutes on the phone not understanding a single word that has been spoken to me. My problem is NOT resolved and I will NOT be purchasing from honeywell in the future.
Recently purchased thermostat Part/Model number: TH8110U1003.
Issue: Screen became unresponsive (System and the Schedule button).
Response from Honeywell:
If the screen becomes unresponsive or freezes, the thermostat would need to be replaced. There is no troubleshooting that can be done. This model is a Trade/Contractor product that has a 5 year warranty available through an HVAC contractor. The contractor will warranty it with there distributor.
Problem: Contractor will not replace thermostat, says it's Honeywell problem.
Honeywell will not replace.
Lesson learn: NEVER BUY A HONEYWELL PRODUCT, AND WILL NEVER WITH THIS CONTRACTOR AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I purchased a gas control module for over $700.00 dollars, and we found out we didnt need to replace the control module. Well my tech guy went out to the job site and somehow managed to lose the BOX it came in. Now Honey well will not refund my money, because I dont have the original packaging it came in. It is the most ridiculous reason i have ever heard of for not refunding my money. I bet they have pallets full of these stupid boxes, and they won't even sell me a box so that I may return it. Talk about the big boys pissing on the small guys out there. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANOTHER HONEYWELL PRODUCT AGAIN. I BUY AND SELL RESTAURANT EQUIPMENT AND I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANY HONEYWELL PRODUCTS FOR ANY OF THE TWO THOUSAND CLIENTS THAT WALK THROUGH MY DOORS EVERY YEAR.
I have a Honeywell TH8320 thermostat that failed after 3 years. My contractor diagnosed the problem but can not replace under warranty because he did not purchase. Honeywell CS wants to send me to a contractor of their choice to diagnose before they will honor the 5 yr warranty. Honeywell seems to be more concerned with protecting their contractor relationships than helping the home owner. I will never, ever buy another Honeywell product.
Worst customer service experience I have ever had! After 6 phone calls (only 3 numbers, but kept getting a "runaround"), they basically gave up and said I should call a contractor - for a thermostat replacement. Chris (@800-828-8367) was the worst - he didn't want to talk to a homeowner (only open 8 to 4:30) and admitted that the Honeywell install instructions aren't complete. I'm returning the product and will buy a LUX thermostat - great experience in the past. Last Honeywell product I'll ever buy.
Had a couple of questions reguarding a aqustat that I had purchased. Contacted Honeywell customer service and they wanted my whole life history prior to answering any questions. I am just a consumer and I told the guy that I didn't feel it necessary to give them all the info they requested. He hung up on me. You might want to think twice about purchasing any Honeywell products thinking that good service goes along with them.
Customer Service is nonexistent for homeowners. I purchased a TrueSTEAM HM512 humidifier with a DG115E1000 TrueIAQ humidistat. I found conflicts in wiring diagrams between the humidifier and humidistat installation guides. When I contacted Honeywell tech support, I was told that since I was a homeowner and not an HVAC contractor, help was not available. Why???

Great customer service rep! Solved my thermostat problem in less than 2 minutes!
I did spend some time previously trying to find the correct Honeywell phone number. The service manual was of NO help, but once I called the number in contact help, problem solved.
