I rented a car from Payless a MONTH ago. When I picked up the car from the Oakland Airport, I was given a slip and was told to go outside to the car they selected for me, and write on the slip all of the damages/soil stains that I saw. I did. The car outside had scratches all around the car. The inside seats and carpet was soiled. I took the car because I needed it to attend a Funeral 2 hours away... One month later I received a letter in the mail stating that I was being charged $150.00 for soiled floor mats. Really!! How in the Hell can they charge anybody for anything when for one, they don't even go out with you to view the damages, and second of all, how can you convince me that you did'nt rent that dirty car again within a MONTH. I not only filing a complaint with the BBA, but I'm suing, hopefully it will be a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, so every body who filed a complaint will get their money back!!!

I had a very poor experience with the whole process as listed like other people. They over charged me, lied, and tried to cover up the issue. I am going to call the CEO of the company when I get a chance. You can do the same, on Been Verify. Get the corporate officials names and complain, as well as get their personal cell phone numbers.

Ten days ago I return a car I rented from your office in Montreal (Canada) located near Dorval Airport. It was 6:30 pm. Twenty minutes later after they drop me at the airport, I realized that I had forgotten my sunglasses( expensive ones offered by my wife). I was told when I called that the office was closed and to call back the next day. When I called back at 9am, the person who answered said they did not find them. Asked if the car had been handled, she said yes. One thing I know is that the glasses were in the glasses compartiment. Nowhere else, 100% affirmative as I had a recent retina surgery and needed badly the glasses. I did not drop them nor lost them. I am very very disappointed with your staff, very.

By far worst rental car experience I've ever had...DON"T rent from this company...was charged amount on my bill and then an additional amount was charged in addition to my billed amount. Wouldn't do anything for me! WORST EVER!!

I arrive to BWI June 27, 2016. I rent a car by Priceline. When I went to pick up the car the represetant ask the date for my retur to my country Puerto Rico. I have a job with Department of Education in Maryland also I use to work with Dept. Educ. in Puerto Rico. So I explain that and he ask me for my credit card, other one, not with the one wich I made the reservation with Priceline. Now Payless is charging me eith the Invoice ADBWI-42271 and Priceline charge me too. Please resolve this situation. I am not going to pay twice. Ivan Morales

I'm very disappointed on renting from your company I was charged the double amount that I was quoted . I have try to reach customer support but it didn't get me any ware . They are not willing to help me out .what can you do for me ?

Horrible company! We rented a lemon and they are completely unable to reach. Their help line is the place you rented the vehicle from and they do not answer and no option to leave a message. Check the Consumer Affairs website as they have a huge amount of complaints filed for horrible customer service and unauthorized charges!

The first rep at Expedia had me on hold for almost 45 minutes, then the call dropped. No call back. I called back with my itinerary number #7185681348963, sat on hold yet another 30 minutes. The expedia rep finally told me they could not help, but to call the Payless Customer Service so that they could give me a credit for initially waiting to get a car for almost an hour and 1/2. I had a disabled senior citizen with me, it was approximately 90 degrees as we sat in the heat and waited. I called Payless Customer service, they told me, Expedia would have to credit me, it was a big run around.
I tried to speak to a rep at the Atlanta Hartsfield-College Park location about my credit, which Expedia promised."He stated he didn't need to speak to me, this was an issue with expedia" .This was May 30th at approximately 6:15 pm, my car reservation was for 5 pm, no one called to let us know they had no cars, we drove almost 50 miles to get to the location. This was extremely poor customer service, and if this is a representation of Expedia or Payless both failed and missed the mark - Marion Relefourd

Anyone looking to get a class action lawsuit together against this company contact me at . They took $548.63 out of my account for a rental I never recievedid. I never signed not one contract with them. So in essence they've stolen money from me for a service I never recieved. They have promised multiple times to correct this but haven't. Now they're trying to tell me that everytime I comment on my claim ticket, they can add on another 72 hours to their response time to my claim. This is beyond unprofessional and ridiculous. I'm contacting my lawyer. Anyone else who has been wronged should do the same. They're totally unethical.

Frankly criminal practice in Las Vegas. 1.5 hours in 2 lines, more people arriving than agents. How can you do this to the consumer. This email will just be a start for me and fellow customers on line.

Let me open your eyes to Customer service at your cape Canaveral payless branch. My wife made a reservation a month ago and got a great rate but to our bewilderment we were refused service and asked to leave. We were dropped off in front of the location on 5/12 thinking we would routinely go in and rent a car as planned. Nonetheless, we were told we were too late and our reservation was cancelled! The receptionist called the So called Manager and he immediately digressed to tell us we had a 1 hour wildow after 9am before cancellation. My wife and I being managers ourselves understand things occur but there is a certain protocol when it relates to customer relations.
Not only was this Gentleman rude but condescending as well. He had the nerve to tell us its not his fault we failed to adhere to the pick up times! Then basically told us he is refusing us service and to basically get out of his store.
In turn we walked to Alamo where they gave us great service.
Im not sure if its a matter of race seeing we are a interracial couple or if this is the way customers are treated in this company but we will not be silent about this mistreatment and will use all means to see that this Manager understands that he insulted the wrong people.

Need help with an issue and can't find it. I was charged 3583.96 USD for renting a car at payless. I needed to extend my stay another week on business and the customer car did that transaction and said the overall bill would be 1100 USD, so I agreed to keep it. I returned the car after having it 29 days and I got a bill for 3583.96. This happened at the Waco Bush airport. I've contacted customer care but do not trust I am going to get any response.

I wanted to contact the Payless Car Rental corporate office and express how much I appreciate the excellent customer service by the staff at the location nearest to the Philadelphia International Airport. They were wonderful and made sure the shuttle got me to the airport on time. I was running late and it was raining. I not from that area, and not only was I close to missing my 8 am departing flight, I could not find a gas station open at 630 am to fill up the gas tank. They were so helpful with everything, and definitely expressed a sense of urgency and concern about my flight time. I am so appreciative of their kindness and professional manner and will highly recommend this company to anyone renting a vehicle.

Hello, I picked up my car and drove to VT last night. I was told I could upgraded and took the Jetta ( for the same price). Although the car hadn't been cleaned ( inside and out), I took it because their were no agents except for back in the building. It took a very long time to rent the car and i needed to start my long drive before nightfall.

Two hrs into my drive, the weather was poor ( freezing rain) and I really needed good wipers. The car had old blades that didn't clear the sheiks and squeezed horribly.

Today, the breaks are grinding and I don't feel safe.

I called the 800 number but the agent told me to call Boston which I had been trying to do all morning ( voicemail was full) and no agent answered.

I finally got through this afternoon and their wasn't a supervisor available..... The agent said she took notes on my record and to call back tomorrow.

I am upset to say the least.

Can someone call me please?

You have lost a customer. I was charged for costs I did not agree to and for bringing the car back a day early. The original quote was for the period of time 2/2 to 2/9 at $199 including all taxes and fees, which I specifically asked if was the total quote,and was confirmed. I was billed $250. Now I am not one of your "lucrative" clients, but isn't it a bait and switch? If not I am sure as a large corporate entity you don't give any credence. Your consumer desk just basically blew me off.

I had a reservation for Dec. 31st 2015 in San Juan P.R. My reservation was for $134.00. But when I arrived in Puerto Rico I was told that they cancel my reservation. I was told they made a mistake, and didn't have any cars. they di not wanted to rent me a car unless I paid $480.00 for a new reservation,I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY THEIR PRICE OR GET STANDED IN THE AIRPORT ON NEW YEARS EVE. My family and I had no choice but pay the $480.00. I felt helpless, I was tolg that they would fixed their mistake but I'm not able to get any answers from Cust. service. LAST TIME I RENT FROM PAYLESS..

I rented a car on on November 19-28. Tulsa, Oklahoma airport. I had a reservation total of $200. However when I returned The cari overcharged $126. I could not get an help from the attendant at the desk, who I waited for 20 minutes to show up. I then contacted Payless customer service who after several e mails refunded me only a portion of the overcharge. I expect to b refunded the entire $126. That I never agreed to. Susan aftee

they are a complete rip off!!! And it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach anyone if you have problems, or questions about there billing. I challenge you to speak to a manager...Good luck!!!!

Run Forest Run. These people are just bad. I prepaid a booking online but then found the same car $50 cheaper on their own site. So I called and they would change it for $50 . Rip off. Boy there are a lot of bad reviews. I wish I would have read them like you are.

I recently rented (pick up and drop off at Denver Airport)and the entire experience was terrible. I had to wait over two hours to pick up vehicle and missed appointment. I called them while I had to confirm drop off procedure and the telephone customer service was downright ignorant. The drop off experience just made the whole thing worse. The worst part of the entire experience is their attitudes. I will never rent from them again!!! I'll gladly Paymore to have friendly customer service!!!

I have been a loyal satisfied customer of ACE rent a car now Paylesss /Paymore for more then 30 years never in my lifetime of renting cars (53 years ) and never have I had a more disagreeable experience. The Experience : Rented economy car on line Internationl Airport Indianapoli pd in advance with AMEX Card $105.00 for 3 days. I scheduled pick up time for 19:00 the plane was late arriving approximately 20:30. I arrived at the Payless office after picking up the Payless shuttle to their West Washington office at 21:00.Upon arrival I was informed by rental agent Josh Hinshaw that I my reservation was cancelled at 20:00 hours that it was company policy ( hour late reservation cancelled). I was informed there were two vehicles available a big sedan at $80.00 plus and an SUV at $115 a day. I protested I saw no where in my reservation about the cancellation if late and after all They could have kept my payment if I didnt show. I was told by Josh if I didnt want to rent one of the two vehicles the shuttle would take me back to the airport. No sooner then I reluctantly agreed to rent the SUV a couple arrived to turn in an economy car. I said to Josh Ill take their economy car. Josh refused to rent the economy car to me saying there wasnt time to have it has to be cleaned up and prepared to re rent.

It was now 9:32 PM I had to hit the road. I was and remain very unhappy over this unprecedented experience with "Paymore" Rentals.

On another occasion I was late there were no economy carS left and Enterprise gave me a free upgrade to s new SUV. I have never forgotten Enterprise and the kind agent.
