I was recently a guest from August 13 to August 14 at the Ramada Limited in Norfolk, Virginia. My itinerary number I was terribly disappointed in the lack of cleanliness of my room. The room itself was at best "shabby." The bathroom had obviously not been cleaned as the toilet seat had a large amount of old, dried urine on it. The toilet bowl was filthy. The shower was also quite dirty. The telephone, both receiver and base were also quite dirty. I called the main desk to complain and a serviceman came to the room and cleaned everything with Clorox bleach and then apologized for the "inconvenience." I have never before experienced such lack of cleanliness in any hotel/ motel I have visited. If it had not been that I got to the motel rather late in the evening, I most certainly would have left to find lodging elsewhere. I will probably never again book rooms in a Ramada again and will advise family and friends to do likewise. Your company should be ashamed to have a motel as careless about cleanliness in your corporate group.
