My friend and I went shopping for sleepwear and found Eileen West sleepwear that we wanted to purchase. The sign next to it ( in fact ALL OVER THE SHOP) showed 40% discount on new arrivals. When we wanted to buy it, the cashier, however, said it was not on sale. We felt that the signs was misleading. We both read the signs and both thought it was on sale, since it was next to the rack where we found our merchandise. I bought sleepwear, but will definitely take it back. I am very disappointed in Dillard's, this is not the way to treat your customers.

My friend and I visited the lingerie department at Dillard's, the Perimeter Mall, Atlanta. There were notices all over "Eileen West, 40% off". We assumed since there were so many notices, all Eileen West items are on sale. Not so. They displayed all the outsizes and stuff that no one would want under these notices. Not like in other stores where all items on sale are grouped together and one knows immediately where to go for sale items.
So we selected 4 nightdresses each, only to discover when we reach the cashier that the prices are double what we thought. So we put everything back, which was a great disappointment. We are from South Africa and hoped to buy good lingerie at a good price.
What I'm really complaining about is the way these items were displayed. We thought that the display was purposely misleading. The only thing they succeeded in is to convince us to avoid Dillard's in the future.

I have been a customer at Dillards' for many years. We live in Missouri, city TX. and is 5 minutes from First Colony Mall. Was there today, and was disappointed that size 18 and 2x are difficult to find in the Womens' dept.Note that I am a 67 yr. old female and is blessed to be able to purchase a beautiful out fit.The buyers have to start to recognize that younger women cannot purchase the clothing, and all the sizes are ther for them. Often times, I have to drive to the Galleria to get the size I need, and this is an inconvience. Your clothing is beautiful, and I hardly shop else where. Tell the buyers that there are many women out here that love our body and shapes as we are, and we really look good in plus sizes, and will pay for the beautiful red dresses, and suits that are displayed in the misses sizes. HELP US YO WANT TO LOOK GOOD. Also, note that your sales rep. ,Le Ann at First Colony is a great lady, and does not mind assisting the obese females that come to get great clothing for special occasions.

I went to the Baybrook Estee Lauder counter to buy my foundation.
They were having a free gift with purchase promotion, and when I asked for my item, one of the women there stared at me. She has dark dry looking hair, probably fifty, and her lips were drawn outside of the lines. Then I heard her tell the girl I talked to to tell me they were out so I couldn't get a gift because I looked like I would bring back the item to keep the promotion.
I couldn't believe it. I don't even care about the free stuff, I buy a lot of product and don't need those samples they put in there!
I didn't complain because I went straight to Macy's.

Comment about a great experience and hope that the following employee gets some recognition for a job more than well done... Today, Thurs,1-19-12, Ms Aqiasoa Johnson (Business Manager, The Edge Cosmetics, FL Mall, Orlando FL)did a terrific job in helping me (Constance Brown, Indianapolis, IN) find a blush color that had been discontinued by Mary Kay. She was so dedicated in finding a match. I commend her for a wonderful job and hope that your store appreciates a dedicated professional. Thanks

I purchased a dress on-line for my son's wedding. When it arrived I was so disappointed in the quality. I had expected it to be like one I had tried on by the same maker, in a local store, which did not have my size. It was not!

I intend to return the dress, but It will cost me close to $150.00 for the experience, since Dillards will not return my money, and I will not shop on-line with them again.

at baybrook.

ladies swimwear. I called and talked with paula to ask about an adjustment on a swimsuit. she said no adjustment ( price went down 40% 2 days after purchase) but i could return it ( it would not go back on floor) and buy something else. I told her i had no tags, and no receipt, but that she would recognize the suit. she said it did not matter, as suit would not be put back on floor. so i drove there with a baby, parked and went in, and she was there at desk and said she did not hear me mention no tags. so , therefore, no return. i asked for store manager, but she/he is on vacation. i asked for person in charge of store that day, but he/she left at 3pm ( it was about 330pm). asked for dept manager, and she paged chris and also tried another dept manager, but one was at lunch and the other did not answer. by then, baby was crying so it was just too much effort over 60$ suit.
seems like dillards would be more customer friendly, and she would have been able to do something about situation or get someone who could.

I was ordering by phone, but using the website. I needed help finding the sku# of a dress, plus I needed help looking for an additional gift. When I asked if she could help me The sales rep said the Co. didn't like them using the computer amd that her job wa only to take the item no.'s! when I asked for the supervisor she humg up on me! I called back and got Supervosor Cindy Polino. She was a doll and made up for the previous deplorable "service". Due to Cindy's friendliness and help, I will return to Dillards....otherwise, hello Nordstrom!! Thank you Cindy!--Melanie Cialella

I went to Dillards in Lubbock Texas on 4/19/11 to try and EXCHANGE a couple of shirts and was planning on buying additional shirts and was told that I could not exchange these shirts, even though I had the receipt. They were purchased in December and due to scheduling was not able to do this until now. I was told that they had been "shipped back" which translated to me "it would be a REAL inconvenience for them to take care of this. Have shopped at Dillards for many many years BUT WILL NOT EVER DO IT AGAIN!

I have a dillard's card and was in the store during the
christmas holiday and found out that my card had expired, so I thought that since I was in the store that I could renew my card. My status has changed, I am retired. I was turned down as if I cannot pay my bill because of my status. My pay history had been good whether I am retired or not. My husband and I have been good customers and I don't understand what's the problem? When I am at Dillard's, I usually use my cash card, but I would like to use the store card sometime.
This may not make a difference, but I felt like this was so unfair because I had my Dillard card in my hand, and I would never apply for a credit card if I could not handle the payment. I was at Dillard in Tulsa, OK promanade

I will not shop at Dillards again. I received the run around from them today and that is the last straw. I was shopping on-line trying to find a swimsuit I liked so I could go to the store and try it on before I purchase it. With all the suits they have there is not ONE made in the USA. I called 5 different numbers trying to reach their corporate office to find out why and the last phone call was customer service rep was rude, cut me off while I was talking and wasn't even the corporate office I asked for! Never again, their customer service skill are deplorable. Take some lessons from Nordstroms.

LOTS OF BAD REVIEWS ON DILLARDS.I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO ORDER A PAIR OF SHOES ON LINE. IT WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO ADD ASHIPPING ADDRESS
ONLY THE BILLING ADDRESS.
I TRIED FOR ABOUT AN HOUR LASTNIGHT UNTILL I GOT AGGRAVATED AND QUIT. DON'T KNOW IF MY ORDER WENT THRU. AND IF IT DID I AM SURE IT WILL BE SENT TO AR. BILLING ADDRESSAND NOT TEXAS SHIPPING ADDRESS.
I LOVE SHOPPING DILLARDS, BUT YOU HAVE TO HUNT SOME ONE TO PAY FOR YOUR PURCHASES. ONE PERSON TO COVER THE ENTIRE FLOOR AT TIMES. THAT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A MORALE BOOSTER FOR EMPLOYEES.

I went to Dillard's at Westfield Mall on Saturday 2/5/11 to buy some makeup and they told me they weren't making that type anymore and sold me a supposedly "similar type". After ringing my purchase up I asked the clerk why the price was so much higher and she said I was getting more product then what I had previously purchased I stupidly believed her until I got home and compared what I had previoulsy purchased-which was actually a larger size-translation...she lied, ripped me off, I don't appreciate her dishonesty...I'm returning the product on the whole principle of her dishonesty. So what is going on here it seems like the Clarins sales people at Westfield Mall in Clearwater FL are a bunch of big ripoffs. So what are you going to do about this?
A Totally DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER

I have tried five different times today to get a hold of someone in your Dress Department at your Waterloo, IA location @ no avail! Aparently, the woman you have answering your phone lines isn't to concerned either! I was put on hold three different times to be transferred to near by area's hoping someone would pick up the phone. Altogether I was on hold for 20min this last time! Each of these times she would come back to say keep calling back. I also called another one of your locations seems as though they have the same system! I am trying to locate a dress for my daughter's Wedding (April) these two stores are the only one's that have the dress in my size. Unfortunately they probably will be taken so I will have to go elsewehere! the stores I called today where 319.232.6668 and 316.685.0341. You have lost me as a customer!

I was in the hurst tx store and was appalled at how the store manager mark wAs speaking to the associates there. He was condenceding, disrespectful. He obviosly has no real management skills otherwise the salespeople would not look so tired and disheartend. I dont think i ever need to shop at dillards again

Recently I was shoping at the Oxmoor store and found a bedspread and matching pieces. While at the counter I used my Dillards credit card and somehow with all my packages and all I left me wallet at the counter. You have a wonderful employee by the name of Terry Brederson working for you. She called me and held on to my wallet till I could retreive it the next day. I visit that dept.frequently and have noticed Ms. Brederson before always attentive to customers and always busy. I'd love for you to give her some sort of special attention for being such a wonderful person and employee. Lord only knows that she could have done otherwise. A very thankful customer Mildred (Millie) Fleischer

I HAVE RECENTLY PURCHASED SOME FURNITURE FROM YOUR DILLARDS LOCATION AT NORTHSTAR MALL. I WAS SO DISAPPOINTED THAT DILLARDS HAS SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL DELIVERY PERSONNEL. MY AFTER THE SALE EXPERIENCE RECEIVES A POOR RATING! NEGATIVE FACTOR. FROM UNPLEASANT PERSONALITY TO HORRIBLE ATTITUDE APPROACH TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. MY DOOR TRIM WAS DAMAGED DUE TO THE RUSHED ATTITUDE. THE OLDER GENTLEMAN EXCUSES THE BEHAVIOR OF THE YOUNGER ONE BY INFORMING ME AND MY HUSBAND THAT THE YOUNGER WORKER IS HAVING SOME MARITAL PROBLEMS. WHAT DOES HIS PERSONAL LIFE HAVE TO DO WITH MY PURCHASE AND DELIVERY? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. YOUR DELIVERY PEOPLE WILL NOT BE DELIVERING TO MY HOUSE ANYMORE IN THE FUTURE. FYI THE YOUNGER PERSON ADDRESSED HIMSELF AS THE ASSISTANT MANAGER. HE NEEDS TO BE RETRAINED ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. HE ARRIVED WITH A DISTURBED ATTITUDE AND WE WERE THE PUNCHING BAGS. NOT PROFESSIONAL AT ALL!!!!!

Today I went to Dillards's to buy a pair of shoes that were on sale. As it turned out the size I wanted they did not have in stock. This was not because they did not normally carry it but simply because of the sale they had been sold out. I asked if I could not buy the shoe or get a rain check and pick up next week (the sales lady said they would be getting in more stock in a day or two). However, I was told that I would have to pay full price when they did get them in or I could buy a pair now and pay the sale price PLUS shipping! Seems to me this is a pretty lousy policy. Of course, if this was a clearance sale and they were not going to be carrying these shoes anymore I could understand their attitude. Anyway, the way I look at it is: "They need me more than I need them". I won't be in any hurry to go back to Dillard's!

I was shopping the Dillard's location in Parkdale Mall in Beaumont, Texas the week of June 1st, 2009. I locked my keys in a rental car and, as it was getting late, was quite concerned. I went to the Dillard's Customer Service to request assistance. I want to share my positive experience with an employee, Sandra Girard. She was very helpful and called the Avis customer service line for me. When they recommended I contact a local locksmith, she recommended a locksmith who was then able to unlock my car. I proceeded to go back into Dillard's where I shopped. My compliments to Dillard's for having such an outstanding employee on the staff. Sandra Girard is to be commended for her concerns for my safety and in providing outstanding customer service. I have been a loyal Dillard's shopper for years and love your new store in Parkdale Mall.

Does Dillards have, or can you implement, a program [much like that of the grocery stores] whereby customers can return plastic bags?

If Dillards does not have any such "recycle" program, perhaps it, along with the other retailers within the shopping center/mall, could, for the benefit of its consumers, implement a recycle/repurpose/reuse program.

About six months ago I purchased the Sperry top sider two eye gold cup shoes from your mens shoe dept. I purchased the shoes from your store because I enjoy actually going into a store and buying it from someone and not a computer screen. Also I feel that when you go into a store to make a purchase there is a sense of customer loyalty and as well usually great customer service that goes with it. Recently the heel of my shoe has started to fall apart. So first I researched the warranty from Sperry and I gave them the information they requested and they told me that I could indeed exchange them from where I purchased them with no problem. So then I called Dilliards in S. Arlington Tx. and explained to them what Sperry had told me and she(Lisa) said it would be fine to bring them in. So Today I brought the shoes in and tried to explain to the gentleman what I was told to do. He did not take one look at the shoes nor offered any idea of help. At that moment I couldn't believe the customer service I recieved. He did not seem to care what so ever. I was simply appauled to say the least. I have lived near the dilliards in arlington for fifteen years and my family and I have always shopped there. Now I live in Dallas, but I still travel to Arlington to shop at dilliards in the Parks mall, so I can visit my family while I am in the area. I don't need to explain how much I have spent with dilliards over the years because as a consumer I believe that if I spent one dollar or a thousand dollars the customer service should be the same across the board. I feel that if this is not resolved my family and I will have no need to shop with Dilliards anymore because quite simply I can just order anything you have from the manufacturer online. However I did like to go into the store to make my purchases so I would spend extra money to get that "experience". I feel that with the age of the internet without good customer service at your location will hurt you as there will be no need to actually go into the store. Please resolve this issue so that I can indeed feel confident about spending a little extra money and shopping in your locations.

I try to return some christmas night light and rebuy them @75% off. Your Esplanade store in Kenner would not do it. They said they would have to put back in stock. I spend a lot of money at that store and think this unfair. I will rethink before I spend more money at dillards.

I visted Dillards at the La Cantera Mall on Friday 14th Nov 2008 to purchase the Estee Lauder Holiday promotion in fact I bought 2. When I got home it was something completely different in the box and bears no resemblence to what I requested in the shop. I now face a 100 mile round trip to take the items back. Since I'm on holiday this is eating into valuable time to see other sights in Texas.

I would like to suggest that anyone purchasing boxed gift sets the store show the customer sight of what it is they are actually buying before it is wrapped/bagged. This would save a great deal of inconvience or was it done deliberately knowing I was from a foreign country? When I come to America Dillards is usually one of my first stops. Now it may be my last.
