My daughter had had appt. for 2:30 on sat. 1/9 was turned away because they had taken too many cars in earlier who didn't have an appt. She made an appt. for the following sat. 1/16 said it should take about an hr. to look at it. That was at 2:30 never heard from them the rest of the day. Kept the car over night. I called the next day at 9:20AM car not looked at. Called at 2PM car still not looked at. Spoke to the store manager said I had to speak to the service manager who hung up on me before I was finished speaking. If I hadn't called back yesterday the car would still be sitting right where it was parked. They took advantage of my daughter because she is a kid. Will never go back. Will take car elsewhere. Worst customer service. There is not one positive review on this entire page. WAKE UP PEP BOYS.

Pep boys in Harrisburg North Carolina told me at 622 pm they could not change my oil. They close at 700 and made no attempt to please me as a customer. Terrible customer service. Jan 7 2016

I visited your store earlier today @10124 north Florida ave Tampa Florida, I purchased a pair of carlashes totalling $32.09'I gave the cashier a$50 bill and change totalling $2.09.I notice later I didn't receive my $20 change, I called and had manager check her draw and camera he mentioned he tried to zoom in on the tape to figure out if she gave me my change,I not satisfied with this outcome!! Please look into the situation farther!!

The new commercial airing now august of 2015 has my kids saying f-ing because if u listen to the commercial it sounds like buy 3 f-ing cooper tires get the 4th one free im very offended by this and want them to change or fix this commercial now

On 8/5/15 went to store 0782 here in salt lake city utah they charged me $23.50 to tell me what was wrong. tie rods inner and outer both sides off my 1993 lexus. I installed these parts my self. On 8/17/15 I went back and asked them if they would credit me the money i spent and do the alignment. They said NO. Great customer service my arse. I never buy anything from pep boys again and ill tell everybody i know about this.

I dropped off my car on Thursday Morning 3-26 and was called and informed that the part Manifold would not be in until Monday and that they get a delivery after 1PM.

I called on Monday 3-30 and was told by By Texas yes that is his name that my part would not be delivered until Tue 3-31. I asked why did someone call my husband and tell him my car was ready to only be told by my husband that the part came in early and they guy said Opps I am calling from the wrong pile.

How professional.

Today I call to get info on my car. To find out that the part could have been purchased from FORD cheaper than what my car is being repaired for. Wow so PepBoys are liers and I will never allow my car or my husband to get his car ever repaired by them in the future.

POS company and the employees are worse than the Customer Service given at the store level.

I got some girl by the name of Alka and she is located in Buffalo NY and I had to demand to speak with a Manager. She refused at first and then once I advised that I will include her in my complaint to this site did she get me a Manager by the Name of Melissa. WHom I will say made every attempt to listen and let me get my anger out and then is trying to find a resolution to my issue and displeasure as I currently type out this angry complaint form.

Problem with hempstead ny pep boys. Left my car today to change battery. 2 hours later all my stuff in storage is out and tossed. Turns out they never changed a battery on a Mercedes go before. They had no idea where it was. After 2 hours of trying they said they can't move seat enough to reach conpartmeny.t. I showed them a you tube video but they just gave up.

The tech asked us too bring the vehicle in the next day at 11:00 because it was late to order a part they needed, we brought it in and we waited till they finished. We waited for 81/2 hrs, how long does it take to get a part from the other shop, and put struts, buffing the rotors,shocks, tension bar, and brakes? This pep boys is located in San Antonio, Texas, in between Roosevelt n Pleasaton.

Danial Adams is a very rude person if pepboys has people like that as a manger I hate to see the rest of the company me or my family or my friends will never return to a pep boys store for any reason and I will tell all I know of the poor service and bad attuide

I was recently at your store in white marsh md and was really apolled by the way I was treated. I am an African American male and went in to purchase wire connectors and a steering wheel cover.upon entering I was met by a girl named Christina with a hand shake I do not like to shake because of disease. Secondly she asked what I needed when I like to browse for various products that pep boys offer. She was constantly making sure that I was in her view like I was going to steal or something. I purchased the items and went to put on the cover when it broke. I took it back in and explain ed what happened and some other guy gave me a hard time about it
until chrystina came back. He also told the manager something. I do not have any problems with pep boys but this one and my phone number is 443-570-1962 a rewards carrier for pep boys. This was a terrible place

Pep Boys.....Daytona Beach........I have been a business owner for 40 years and love working with professional people. I had a flat tire near Daytona and took my car in. This may be the best experience I have ever had at an auto service center. Thank you guys for what you do when people have auto problems. There is first class people at this location and I will go out of my way to let them service my car. Thanks again!

My experience took place . I have had oil changed there about four times total. Never really pleasant... Between third and fourth time Guy said roughly I needed to have a different filter next time because I had a BMW. So I went somewhere else... Jiffy Libe... Great experience but cost more. So back to Auburn... Where I saw the guy schmoozing some old lady. After I'd been there about ten Minutes I asked him how much it was going to cost Since maybe it had gone up since the last time I was there. He said $80. I asked why. He said it's a BMW i said self what it takes oil he looks at me like I'm stupid, says, No it doesn't it takes synthetic. I say mine is a 1997 . He says all BMWs take synthetic I say I've had oil put in this shop in this car. He says that he knows more than them because he went to special Pep Boys school. Say that out loud how hilarious is that? I went to special Pep Boys school. I said you mean to tell me you know more than the owners manual or BMW Inc.? He says they put oil in there for something about the emissions or whatever. WHAT? I say I want oil in the car. He says rudely"I'm surprised that the car even runs if you been putting oil in it". I say 205,000 miles does your car have that? Point being I'm not can argue with someone about putting oil in my car I will never put oil from Pep Boys again in my car. I did have to pay for an extra filter but it cost me $40. Trying to rip women off is something I've never been fond of since I've had a 66 Corvette for 31 years. My name is Val Sheets. I see you have many people that complain. This happened a few months ago but I just got coupons from you and wanted you to know. If your people really hate their job maybe you should hire different people. And these days wrn know morrabout theeir car then some men

Had to buy a battery in Houston Pep Boys on the southwest freeway at Fondren. I had to explain several times that the battery was out of warranty. the guy behind the counter snapped at me and told me "sir I don't need to look at you in order to hear you' This guy could not even look at me when I spoke.....they could not even find me in the computer from the last time I bought the battery...How RUDE he was in his blue hoodie like he owned the store...Obvious he could of cared less or knew what he was even doing...I will never step foot in a Pep Boys again...these are people NOT GODS as they perceive themselves. Nobody there could not do the simple matH that 36 months is 3 years and my battery was 6 months out of warranty....where are the managers in these places...I can only hope one of the 2 people I had to deal with were not managers. I should of knowN...my car was the only one in the parking lot when I drove up.

My name is John Ives , about a year ago I had a bad experience at my local pep boys at 321 Hutton lane in VA Bch. So much so that I had my wife send an email and I rarely would do that but I was so mad. Today I discovered a nail in my wife's tire and I don't want to send her to work on Monday with a bad tire but where do you go on a Sunday afternoon to have a tire plugged...Pep boys. I was pleasantly suprised with great customer service and a speedy repair. An employee named Amy greeted me at the door , showed me the proper tools then told me they would be happy to do it in their shop right now. Thanks , will be back. John Ives

Need more drivers from one store to another the wait time is between 6 and 7 hours for a part to be delivered and put in the car such as air conditioner part

People complain when poor service occurs. It's wonderful when people actually show customer care. This was my experience at the PepBoys in Bpt, CT. I went in for an oil change, which they completed and kept me informed. Little did I know a pre-existing condition would almost completely ruin my day. The employees went above and beyond to try to remedy the situation but given the nature, it had to be taken to the dealership. I tried to turn it over myself shortly after, a problem with the ignition and lever. They advised me well. After an hour I finally called for a tow. Brian, the manager and Marvin were the only remaining souls who patiently waited, smiled and helped the tow get the car out of the bay onto the flatbed. I am thankful and am an official PepBoys fan - of the Boston Ave store. Thank you gentlemen!

Ordered Shock 2 Different Times - 1st Time Oreder Was Lost. 2nd Time Same Thing Again - The Parts Man On Duty 5/30/2013 Assured Me They Would Deliver Parts To My House Next Day. I Also Spoke To The Parts Manager On Issue - He Kept Making Excuses - I Informed Him It Was Not My Job To Manage His Employess - He Made A Real Dumb Statement That I Was Verbal Abuising Him. The Shock Never Were Delivered And I Received No Phone Call. The Location Was Lake Worth,texas

My a/c stopped working and I brought it to Pepboys to look over. The free a/c diagnostic came thru with nothing so they asked to do an electrical diagnostic. They kept my car for 7 hours only to tell me they couldn't figure out whats wrong with it. They still charged me for the electronic diagnostic. When I asked for a printout of what they checked they replied they didnt have one because they were manually going in and checking things. I was under the impression the electronic diagnostic was being done by a computer. After I drove it home I locked my door from the inside and came out about 10 minutes later to run to the store. When I tried to unlock my door the lock only would spin and I noticed a 4 inch scrap down to the metal on my door that was not there prior. I called the manager and I was told to bring it back to the store. When I got there he told me he reviewed 4 hours of footage in 10 min(I was there for 7 hours) and they never used my key to get in my car. When I left the car there it was locked so they had to of used my key to get in at least once. As far as the scrap they only replied the car was not on a rack so they didnt do it. My car only has one keyhole to open the car so if I lock it my son has to climb in thru the trunk to unlock. No responsibility taken at all. And the customer service manager kept chuckling at me and saying there is nothing I can do. Don't go to these crooks!

I didn't finish reading the guy's experience above me because, the same crappy, expensive and time consuming 'services' were rendered to me in Los Angeles.
It is unconscionable how they treat people. Women, men -- working individuals who value their cars because We PAID for them. Working a job, just like Pep Boys Employees.

How the widespread scammer attitude, willingness to flat-out lie, however ridiculous to cover their inefficiency - no, their lazyiness. Shoddy work, warranty? FORGET IT. There's more, but I have to hurry to a Shlep Boys in the Bay Area to beg? someone there to fix what LA wrought. God Save Us.

This is the worst experience with one of the leading Auto service company. I never expected, how they survive this long with this worst System and Service. This happened to be on Bear PepBoys today. I scheduled 4pm appointment at online pepboys.com and went for oil change. I promptly reached there at 3:55. There was the lady on counter took my key and informed she will call me after the service. Having the scheduled appointment and after hearing the lady response, I assumed the service will be done on next 30-45mins and waited on their waiting area. But there starts worst.
I have waited for 1hrs, at 5pm I went again and asking for the status. This time that lady has left already, so the gentleman over the counter answered. I explained my situation, he seems not caring to listen, what I am telling him. He just took my name and checked something. He told that I will be next, it will be ready within 30mins max. I heard as if they don’t bother about reservation. I don’t understand, why they had online booking. Worst is not over yet.
I waited until 5:30 and by looking outside, I noticed my car hasn’t moved yet. That is still parked at the location, where I left. This time again I went and standing in Queue, to talk with someone. The pepboy guy is too busy for 10mins with the lady come for service. He doesn’t bother about me and couple of people standing behind me. He was talking loud about the house he brought recently and the real estate price in this area. Finally they ended the conversation, after 10mins.
I went and he listened at least this time and apologized to me. But that guy told, they didn’t have place bring the car in, none of the cars are moved out for past 1.5hrs and all service lots are full. He wants to be believe his lie. I can see many cars are going in and out. And they had around 10 lots, all cars in 10 lots are being serviced for more than 1.5hrs? Anyway my wait paid off after this discussion, he immediately got empty lot and did oil change. They recommended few services, including air filter change for $20. I would have accepted in the service is good.
After this bad experience, I will definitely not go back to pepboys.

I went to your Wilmington ,Delaware branch locate at Kirkwood highway for tire replacement and ended up with 4 damaged tire pressure censors.it took more than 2 hours for them to notify me of the problem that I firmly believe cause by your employee. upon answering the normal questions the ask, they enter my car at 9:30 am. at 11:20 I noticed the person who accepted my car handed a tire to the person working on my car ( I found out they don't have enough tire to begin with) at 11:35 stop to look under the hood of a customer which seems to me a back job? at 11:40 I was told tire mounting is almost done but there is a problem, the person who process my tire replacement told me my tire pressure censors are damaged. I told him how can it be my instrument panel did not show any problem when I brought the car to them...after all the stem valve on 4 tires with censor attached on them were removed. seems to me the person who work on my car does not have enough knowledge or information on what he is doing ( like what I said I was asked questions about the car, before it was accepted for work)all I want is to have new tires for my car and it is unfortunate for me to end up with this problem. anyway,i was told if ever I get the new parts he will install them personally with free of charge...as soon as I reach home I called the nearest kia dealer for said parts hoping the price is reasonable. WOOAH,TO MY DISMAY THE PRICE ON ALL 4 CENSORS IS MORE THAN THE PRICE OF 4 TIRES...$138.30@. I further ask the sales person who is in disbelieve when I told him I need 4 of them .because he thought I only need one if it is possible to happen all at the same time. all he could answer is, probably the person who work on my car is not familiar with such car and its specifications. JUST LIKE WHAT I SAY IONLY NEED A NEW TIRE....NEEDLESS TO SAY I'LL NEVER GO BACK TO THI PLACE AGAIN.

i took my 2010 toyota camry in on 4/1/13 for tires and an inspection the tires were a good price but they told me i needed struts that mine were blown ,i couldnt understand why my car was only 3yrs old and i baby it .they told me it would cost me another $600.00 to fix the struts,i was devistated for this is the only car i have and on disability i would have to wait till may .they scraped my sticker and told me to come back when i had money ,well i got a second oppinoin and there is nothing wrong with my struts or any other parts of the car that would not pass inspection,toyota ppassed it,they were going to cheat me and take my money.I am a woman and i feel i was disciminated against because of my gender,and was taken advantaged of i will never go to pep boys for anything again.
