I have spent 2 days in a hell hole at the days in and suites in Indiana. I am in town for a basketball tournament, therefore rooms are scarce and rates are higher than normal. Upon checking in, it took us 20 minutes because our room was given away. They were able to find another room. Upon checking in, we spent the first several hours trying to get to sleep because AC was not functioning correctly and we very loud, it would cycle every 4 to 5 minutes with a growling noise. After several hours, we decided to complain because we couldn't get any sleep. As it was late and had a early start with a game . Not to mention the smell of the room, like mildew and a stale. Breaking that kids sleep, after mid night we were moved to another room. The room smell was slightly better the ac system was upgraded with a digital control and the ac was much better at last.
The following day, we discovered ants in our room on 2 separate occasions, the first was as we were leaving for a game my son found 2 ants in the bed. We were late for the game, we video taped the incident to discuss later with management. Upon returning late into the night around 11:00 PM, we discovered a pool of ants covering the nightstand and on the floor. It was awful. The kids panic. I immediately reviewed matters and concern with the front desk. There response was, basically, we can move you .... and of course there were no rooms. We could find another hotel within 40 miles. They never offered to assist with the ants . We had to return to the room a deal with this situation ourselves.

Needless to say, I am very disgusted with management and the conditions in which we have had to endure. Management has been less than sympathetic to issues and concern. I believe the complaints are normal and management has been conditioned to follow normal protocol when such issues arise. This establishment should not be able to operate. It is a step above a roach motel. It is very old and not well kept.
