I recently realized I had not used my vip discount, after I placed an order on yesterday. I called into customer service to see about getting the order canceled and re ordering it so I wouldnt lose the good discount on my order. The rep I spoke to in the beginning was pleasant and then when I proceeded to give her the code for the discount, she said it was not working and she then asked me did I read what it said, I politely read to her over the phone what it said, and she simply stated " well it is not working", I replied well that is the number I have and I never changed my tone or became disrespectful, she proceeded to talk in another tone in which was not professional. To avoid going back and forth with her over the phone I told her I would be end the call before I say something wrong. As a customer service rep I understand we all have ways of communicating and talking but you cannot just verbalize in a tone and speak to the customer how you feel.
