I bought an Acer W510 Tablet and it setup fine, but won't recognize my wireless router. Have called support 5 times since purchase and am told one fix after another. Now I call this service support and they want to charge me a fee to help me with the tablet. This is bull. I'm going to figure out how to return this machine and I'll never by from Acer again.

I bought an acer , it needed repair. when i sent it back it took 4 days, once it was repaired it has taken 14 days to get it back

Of course my warranty expired Sept 15 and now I have a black screen,,which will cost big bucjs to repair, I am getting so sick of buying new computers year after year, You would think by now that SOMEONE would get them right!...A senior that uses her computer for all family contact, banking, medical contact...now what..I give up

followed the instructions... said "customer service" then "agent" and then gave them my ssid number. And then they hung up on me after telling me to please hold for an agent.

Tried again, same results. Their customer service is not even bad... it's a joke. They must hate their customers. Lol

I can purchase acer 17" square lcd monitor after two days its not power on .when i complained to toll free no. they can ask me waht is your lcd s/n no. and give me complaint no. this process completed. After six day when i call to acer tollfree no. they can said your monitor will be approved and he can send within 2 to 3 days after 3 days i can not give a monitor when i repeated call to toll free no he can said that monitor not dispatch from Bangalore. he can said the monitor send in 2-3 days . acer service is very poor after 10 days my prob is not solved by acer.

absolute rubbish JUST BOUGHT NEW ACER ASPIRE Z5763.
DRIVERS ARE 2 YEARS OUT OF DATE UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD NEW DRIVERS FROM NVIDIA WEB SITE.
£650 FOR SO CALLED NEW COMPUTER NOT AT ALL HAPPY WITH ACER.
50 PENCE A MINUTE TO SPEAK WITH SUPPORT TEAM RIP OFF

ACER Extensa 7630 purchased in June 2009

SO I do an ACER support chat after my internet connection would not internally communicate with my email and firefox programs. Support decides that the PC is missing important registry files and I need to perform an eRecovery.
Cant find my disks...no problem though as they can sell me new ones. SO i bite and have them sent. Took about 4 days so i was impressed.
Followed instructions and loaded the system only to find that my entire keyboard has been turned into a "HOTKET" to launch windows media player. Cant type a friggin thing as it keeps trying to launch WMP with every touch of a key. Clearly the recovery disks they sent were corrupt and defective.
Was promised 14 days of support during the chat ( a copy of which i kept) see this quote :
Jyoti Prakash: The recovery CD will reach you within 5 to 10 business days.
Jyoti Prakash: You have 14 days from the date the Recovery CDs are received
to utilize recovery media and report defects in order to receive replacement
media at no additional charge. Hence, we request you perform the recovery
using the new recovery CDs within 14 days and report if any defects are
found.
I head right back to the ACER Support Chat to complain of my new problem but heres the answer i got back after trying to get them to help stating that they had sent me defective disks...(and I'm still well within the 14 day timeline) ...they kept saying they couldnt help me because the laptop is out of warranty and brushing me off. I mentioned the 14 days i had to report any issues with the disks i received... nada nothing ..just cant help beacuase i am out of warranty.
So i asked for my money back on these worthless disks I received
and got this response

We regret to inform you that once the package is delivered,we don't have an option to provide you with the refund."

or apparently the ability to solve any of the new problems they just caused me.

GET A LIFE ACER .... Maybe ACER PC president CAMPBELL KAN will finally get toasted after sales plummet.
PS... the class action lawsuit over the eRecovery issue only applied to US citizens... Poor me being Canadian I'm S'O'L

I've had several Acers over the years and all have worked fairly well. All of them in Debian or Ubuntu.

It's too bad that their customer service is worse than wretched... it's non-existant. If you buy an Acer... you'reown your own

I am sorry so many people have had problems with the product and service from Acer. I sent my laptop in via fedex. It arrived at the service center 3 days later. It was repaired and sent out 2 days later. It is scheduled for delivery today. The only complaint I have is they were supposed to email the tracking number. I had to cal to get it. The gentleman I talked to was in India. He spoke good english, was VERY NICE and helpful. As long as the laptop is fixed correctly, I will rate their service highly.

it is a bunch of bull that you can not reach anyone to assist you with their product i think the FCC and BBB sdhould shut down this company and any affiliates to them, they also need to refund every person who has bought an acer so that they can get a real laptop/ compueter i paid over $900 for the laptop and now it is just an oversized paper weight

Does anyone know an attorney??? Can you say Class Action Law Suit! I think these jurks have stolen enough of our money.... I will NEVER buy an Acer EVER AGAIN. this computer crashed customer sevice SUCKS. Can I speak to someone I can understand please.. This is why we need to sue there butts. they only think of money our money even though they have a warrenty they don't honor them.

Abominable Customer Service. My son's netbook was returned two days after Christmas (brand new). It is now JANUARY 31st, they have had it over a month and it is not back in our hands because they have LOST IT TWICE. Our computer was shipped to the wrong recipient (oops!) then when it was returned to Acer (again) - they lost it in-house. We have been repeatedly been assured it will be shipped Friday or Monday - only to sit home all day waiting for Fed Ex (we must sign for it) - only to receive a late day call that "Gee, we don't know what's wrong or where it is but we sent an email trying to find out." At this point they have STOLEN OUR COMPUTER, have no intention of replacing it, have sent our computer (and resultant information contained on it) to STRANGERS - and all we receive is a shrug and "sorry."

Had to spend two hours on the phone until I finally demanded escalation and got a level 4 corporate who managed to sort things out for me. Monitor spent a month and a half in repair for a faulty backlight (on backorder, allegedly). Monitor returned with tool marks cut into the plastic base. Do not intend to buy from again.

I was experiencing a graphical glitch with my year-and-a-half-old laptop. I called the line and had difficulty giving my serial number to the recording. After three tries, the recording hung up on me rather than transferring me to a person. When I tried again and successfully entered my SNID, the recording simply said that my machine was out of warranty and hung up on me. Apparently you need your machine to be in warranty to even speak to a person. This was downright disgusting and shameful customer service.

We purchased an aspire 7535-5020 in feb 2010. Right out of the box it didn't want to set up correctly. Called support - guy was a total rude king who spoke piss-poor english that was hard to understand. He said to make arrangements with where we purchased it to send it back.
I played around with it and finally discovered which button prompts a factory reinstall if you hold it down - F8 I believe it was.
So, until mid-Dec 2011 - all was fine. Then, I think we got a virus attack just as I had hit shut down - while everything was closing - a popup from my virus program appeared but then the screen went 1/2 black. After 15 minutes, finally powered it off. Came back with black screen of death. That was a pain, but I refused to call them.
Pretty much okay now except I wanted to see if Acer support had any updates for it, you know like Windows does - for free. Couldn't fine one support item for anything online though I did find where you could pay them a hefty fee. I'm like - why should I have to pay to ask some tech guy IF there are any updates and probably be told NO because they don't care once you buy them. If you can fix things yourself (and I am by no means a computer geek but I managed so far, thank God) then go for it. Now I see there is a class action suit against them because they did not or would not provide reinstall/recovery discs. Going to look into that e-mail more closely. Would give much thought into purchasing a new one though I know from other family members that HP is certainly no better and their products don't seem to last near as long as they used to. Guess everyone thinks in this sucky economy that we all have great jobs and can pay out money for every little hiccup in life.

This is crazy. I sent my notebook to the repair center almost two months ago and i have not received it back. I will never buy another acer computer ever again. I recommend you all to find a computer store, if you want your computer fixed!!!!

This is the most useless company in the whole wide world.Customer Service and Technical Support very rude, unprofessional and pure insolent.
I decided to throw away a laptop that I just purchased in June 2011 rather than dealing with these useless Acer guys.

I've purchased 2 acer desktops less than 6 months ago... I can't use one of the units because the video card crashed down due to factory defects. It's been a month since I bring the said unit at their affiliated repair centers but still no lock.. What kind of service I am getting right now.. Can anyone from acer do something about your SERVICE...

i had to re install windows 7 starter 3 times on my aspire one the third time i had to call the number because my key pad wasnt working so far i am not all that happy with this netbook

I received an email about a recall on my aspire one. I have tried to get help from acer with NO luck. My netbook still crashed ..... Does ACER stand behind their products? In my case NO. So I brainstormed w a bunch of geek friends of mine and decided acer is not made to last and I should have purchased a better product. So I will just by me a new computer for christmas .... it will NOT be an acer.
