I opened an account with Citibank. I don't need the account because I rather have Nevada state bank in Las Vegas open an account. I want to close my account with Citibank.

I applied at your Career Section but since then have changed my mind. I keep getting a hundred emails for a position as teller which I did not apply for. I have spent many hours trying to log in and remove my profile but your log in jargon drives me crazy.

Please remove my profile and name in your Career application

this bank is a joke!! they are rude and clearly don't know what they are doing. They couldn't even figure out how to do a simple stop payment resulting in numerous over drafts on my acct. I cancelled my debit card and got a new acct # and that still didn't work.

A Couple Weeks Ago Citibank Called And Said That They Were Closing And Needed Me To Come In And Clean Out My Safe Deposit Box,i Said I Lost My Key And They Said We Have A Signature Card... Anyways They Called Me To Arrange A Drill Out .so I Go On Monday The 1st Of Dec And When I Got There They Said My Name Was Not The One Who Opened The Account . In Any Case Why Did You Guys Call Me If You Knew I Didnt Open The Case. I Asked Where Did You Get My Number To Call Me Then? I Ve Had Been Through So Much That I Cant Remember Yesterday.so Tell Me Why You Guys Called Me To Begin With. If My Names On It That Clearly Isnt Fair!!!

I called and chatted with Citibank credit card customer service reps about the Double Cash card $200 promotion. I think that I received and misplaced the offer code that was mailed to me. I asked them to check if I had received the offer and was told that they had no way of checking, and that it was sent out to a select group of people. I asked if they (or me) could contact the marketing department to find out if I was sent an offer. I was told no.

BEWARE: Citibank will steal big chunks of your money and call them "fees" then leave you no recourse. I recently had a levy placed on my account by the IRS because I've moved & changed jobs which temporarily stopped my auto payments to them so had to go back through the process of working out another payment plan with them. They quickly released all funds in my account minus a $47 fee for themselves. As insulting (and cowardly) as it is, Citibank litigation does not answer the phone, they make you leave a voice mail...further prolonging any kind of resolution. Also, Citibank not only took a WHOLE WEEK AFTER the IRS released the levy in making my funds available to me (meanwhile all accounts were at a $0 balance leaving me no money whatsoever), they kept $125 of it for "processing fees". Another customer rep called this a "paperwork charge". That's some expensive paper. Since I've moved and there are no bank locations in the whole state of Colorado, my main account with Citibank has been solely for a couple of auto bill payments, one being medical. Just before this event I deposited a check from my insurance company to fully cover a medical bill that is due next week and I can now no longer pay it in full. How much do you think Citibank's (very rude) litigation representative cared about any of this? You got it, ZERO. As with most big banks that profit BILLIONS OF DOLLARS A YEAR off of these same situations of preying on struggling customers, they only care about generating more income for their execs. Because this is how they award their customers after YEARS of loyalty, I'm immediately closing all of my accounts with Citibank and from now on I'm going small & local and suggest everyone else does the same. It's the only way to protect ourselves from having money STOLEN from us in the guise of "convenience" & "processing fees" day after day.

Citibank has been lowering our credit limit every 3 month since last October. The reason: In June 2013 I paid Julys payment one day before the new cycle started, there fore payment was credited for June instead of July. Collections called and I assumed they were a fraud since I was not aware of any missed payments! Since then our credit limit is lowered regularly without any reason or explanation given.

On Tuesday April 22 2014, my wife received a check for $3500 for an insurance claim to pay off a repair at Belise toyota In Warwick RI. We called the dealership and they couldn't take the check made out to my wife. We asked them how they would like to be paid. they said Credit card. So we paid $3600 to Citibank and planned to make the $3400 payment On Wens the 23rd

On Thursday the 24th we went to pay, Citibank received the money, and without warning, Lowered the limit $3400. This left my wife in the position of at least explaining that it will take 2 weeks to raise $3500, or at the most if the Toyota dealership had the same morals ( or lack thereof) that citibank displayed she would be guilty of Fraud!

Of course we called the customer service numbers and spoke to many people. After 2 Hours the representative agreed to put $3100+ back in our account within 48 hours. They went so far as to say this on a call with our bank and my wife!!

Today after more that the 48 hours. We have been informed that " they have changed their mind and they will not be giving the money back.

I am a local public official. I am going to go on local TV and to the local press. I will also contact national press and 60 Minutes. It was not enough that their immoral polices ruined the American economy, now they have caused us personal hardship. To hell with any credit report. They will never see another cent from us. this is principal now!

i was unable to pay my Best Buy credit card (thru CITI Bank) for 4 months and they rightfully sent me to collections. Here's where the fun starts...I called Best Buy to pay and they sent me to Citi Card Recovery Dept. They stated they sent my balance to Global International Claims Service (so they say..) called GICS twice (once was a conference call with Citi Bank) and GICS can't find my account because Citi Card didn't send it to them... Citi Card keeps saying"yes we did" and GICS said "no we didn't get it" Citi keeps telling me "call back in 24 hrs" I called back a MONTH later and THEY STILL CANT FIND MY ACCOUNT! Best Buy wont let me pay it thru them, Citi wont let me pay it thru them, and GICS would let me pay IF THEY HAD MY INFORMATION. And all Citi keeps telling me is call back in 24 hours. And this whole time they are charging me late fees..........WTF?!?!?!? NEVER DO BUSINESS WIH CITI BANK

Citibank had a "bad" address (it only had numbers no street name) for one of my money market accounts. They "red flagged" that account and stopped sending me statements for it. So instead of contacting me another way, cross referencing me with my other accounts by either SSN or address and then adding the street name as it appears on TWO other Citibank accounts they just STOPPED sending me notices regarding this account. Subsequently it went inactive and has been assessed a $20 Service Charge since May 6, 2011. I found this out when another of my money market "savings" accounts was about to go inactive this March 2014. I went to the bank and deposited $1 to "activate" that account again then asked the asst. branch manager about my other accounts. I have been going round and round with the customer service numbers and finally sent them a Notarized and certified letter to which I was told today (one month after sending the letter) that it may take them up to 6-8 weeks to respond. While the bank will still charge me the $20 service charge monthly. Now I was told yesterday to go into the branch and show them the letter etc. When I got there today, the manager was very helpful but only could remove the one month's charge of $20. She told me to call the number to get more satisfaction. Well I called them this afternoon and they can't do anything except say that the letter I sent was received and "is being reviewed". Meanwhile they have removed $720 from my account and only credited me back $240 which includes today's refund. Those guys owe me $460 per my accounting....Good Luck finding someone who can access the account and validate my claim...some representatives say they can only go back 3 or 6 months.

It's too bad Citicard won't let me help my 91 year old Mother with her credit card. I tried. I will now quit paying her household bills so she can pay Citicard. She can't hear well on the phone, has zero assets, and only a small retiement check since Dad died. I tried to help her negotiate a payment plan and got hung up on for my efforts. Good luck Citicard.

Worst Customer service ever: called them to re-book my money between two my cards. They said, that they apply to me British law, just because they call-center is in GB (not me and not my bank) and refused to transfer money, saying, that I am laundering money. When I asked for this information in written form, they declined, saying, that they have security reasons for this (lie!!!). After fifth phone call, they created a ticket (OH THANKS!!!) for re-transferring of my money between my cards. And had no time to do anything regarding this ticket during 10 days, saying, that they have thousands of tickets (and I have the latest priority here). I called them about 7 times, and got opposite information every time. They assured me 3 times, that there will be no provision for overdue of payment on one of my cards, but now I see, that there is a penalty on it. And I made payment ontime, just had later those stupid phone calls with them for 2 weeks :( :( :(
I wish, their Customer service will be sent to Mars, so nobody on this planet will suffer from their service ever again :(

Citi bank closed out my credit card without any notice or reason. we only found out as my wife went to pay online and the system would not allow any activity. I called and was advised that their records show that I filed bankruptcy. they gave me a lawyers # in Tennessee and a case #. turns out that a Christine Jones in TN has the same last 4 digits on her social sec # and citi bank attached the bankruptcy action to my account. I have spoken with the trustee of the bankruptcy court in TN and they assure me that NO WHERE in their records does my social security # show. It appears to be completely Citi banks error. They will not let me speak to anyone about it, say that it is being investigated etc. in the meantime I have no credit card, and am worried about my credit score and getting this corrected. Also cant pay the bill on line and am not sure if I should mail payment with a letter? This has been over 10 days since we discovered the closed account and I still have had NO written communication from Citicard re: the account. Is there any advocate for consumers when credit card companies make these types of errors. how do I get this expunged from my credit record?? any suggestions are appreciated.

Worst customer service ever!!!! Called to report fraudulent activity on an account that I supposedly closed 3 days ago and the customer service rep is saying they can go ahead and close the account correctly. Meanwhile, there's a transfer from checking plus for $100 and 2 Chase epay transactions plus the overdraft fees from Citibank. Guess why i was closing out the account in the first place, my experience a previous time deleting an automatic payment that didn't appear in the system but was still taking money out. It's all about the bottom line for this bank now and their service isn't worth a damn. For those with accounts I hope you never have any issues.

Great experience. Called number listed here and spoke directly to a human who gave me the number to the dept. I was looking for which was also answered by a human almost right away. They were courteous and helpful and I was off the phone with the answer I was looking for in under 5 minutes. Great customer service, thank you!

The fraud department flagged my card as "suspicious", at a merchant I have frequented many times before. Citibank didn't even try to call me to verify the charge. I did speak with the "fraud department" and thought it was cleared up, but it happened again, later the same day.
When I called the "executive response unit" they couldn't even find any attempts to use the card!!
And this is a bank I trust with 2 very substantial checking accounts??
Time for a more professional bank!
