Athens Chevrolet In Athens ,ga Needs To Be Evaluated, They Are Rude And Very Unprofessional, I Will Never Buy Another Gm Product Because Of The Way They Have Treated Me Since Day One Of Purchasing My Cruze

I purchased a 2015 Lacrosse and the vehicle failed the emissions test in Arlington County, Virginia. Has anyone else had this difficulty? If so, how was the situation resolved?

Your tech support sucks!! After 2 hours on the phone, you hang-up on customers!! Now I have a towing bill to reset "reduced power", on the dash, that disables the gas petal. Both our GM vehicles are leaving this week!! Guess you dont need loyal CASH customers anymore!! Robert Bank & Lynn Davis, Tybee Island, Ga.

My 2009 Chevrolet Malibu power steering stopped working. I was advised by GM Headquarters that my 2009 Malibu wasn't part of the recall. Had to pay $687 to have car repaired. I'm not a happy customer,

The service at Vandergriff Chevrolet, Arlington,Texas is deplorable. VERY difficult to get routine service work done. Appointments still demand several hours wait while work being done and loaner cars which are promised are NEVER available with reason being they are all in use because of recalls, even though loaners are mentioned as a benefit when making new car purchase.

Service manager never bothers to return calls or e mails.

Contrariwise Sewell Cadillac in Dallas is a first class operation.

My son owns a 2010 Camaro. He got stuck on the parkway with it. When he called Bical Chevy in Valley Stream to have it towed there, they told him they couldn't even look at it for 2 weeks. We called corporate. They said to have it towed to Bical. His car has been sitting in the Bical Service Department and tomorrow it will be 2 weeks. They have not even looked at it. Absolutely the worst! There is a complete lack of honesty. I can't help but feel that they have no intention of fixing the car - which has a blown engine. My son had brought it in to Bical 3 weeks before with the check engine light on. They said it was something in the computer and charged him $900. But they also told him it the check engine light came on again to bring it back. Obviously, they blew it and they don't want to help. What shall we do?

I have been a loyal GM (Holden) fan since I first got my license in one in 1976 and I still own one (commodore).
It would appear that GM don't care about their customers in Australasia, as they are discontinuing the Commodore and don't appear to be replacing it with another rear wheel drive vehicle.
We want rear wheel drive! Not cheaper for production front-wheel drive!

I took my Saturn Ion in for a mandated ignition switch recall. I sat outside for almost 30 min even though I had an appointment. they finally took me home and then I get a phone call from the service department saying that I have to pay $375.00 for repairs because the ignition had been stripped. I informed the service person that I have never had the ignition worked on and I purchased the car used in 2008 for cash. he informed me that the car could not be put back together and that I would have to pay. I then called customer service and I was on hold for another 20 minutes and was told that this matter could take up to 48 hours to resolve itself. bottom line is if my care ever gets another mandated recall....trust me I will fall for that.

I took my 2011 Chevy Cruze in for a scheduled appointment at my local dealer, Scoggins Chevrolet in Chiefland, Florida, on October 28th. They had replaced a defective water pump in March, but I still had a significant coolant leak. Diagnostic on that day showed that I needed another new water pump, but the dealer had to order it. Apparently, the new pump did not arrive until late Wednesday or early Thursday. When they were removing the front engine cover to replace the pump, they broke a bolt and then got their extraction tool stuck in my engine. They did not get the broken bolt/extractor tool out until the following Tuesday (when they sent the cover to NAPA to have them remove it in a matter of hours). Surprise! Apparently, you need a new gasket to replace the engine cover, which they did not have in stock. I waited another two days for them to get the gasket and then they realized that they did not have the bolts (you know--the ones they broke) and could not finish the work on Friday. Well, Monday arrives and the mechanic working on my car goes home sick. I speak with the general manager and get no help, just sarcasm. They finally tell me that my car is ready for pick up on Wednesday--16 days after I left it with them! I still don't have my car, though, because they wanted me to accept it without any documentation to show what was done.Oh, I forgot to say the I have been in communication with a GM Customer Service representative all this time, and it has been absolutely useless. She documents everything in a file, but can't facilitate getting my car back. I will never own another GM vehicle and definitely not return to Scoggins Chevrolet.

I have never felt more disrespected in my life. Mike Anderson Chevy dealer in Merrillville In is on of the worst businesses I have ever been to. I have not heard anyone paying $200 dollars for a diagnosis of a car. They are trying to cheat me out of money and they no. I'm going to someone else's and if the fix the problem that I've been telling Mike Anderson u will be hearing from my lawyer. I have lost a job because they didn't fix my car right and lied to my face.

I purchased a 2015 Silverado High Country from All American Chevy Here in San Angleo, Texas I've purchased numerous vehicle over the past years and usually always got great service, loyal, Litha, rebate discounts, but this time experience wasn't a pleasant one, I think the deal could've been better, if I'd got some additional discounts, the sales person who's name I won't mention wasn very familiar with this truck, except he knew how to surely sell it, I never was showed how all the bells & whistles work in this truck, as I've been learning them on my own day by day, the big kicker is that he told me to fill our their survey and I assured a tank of gas upon completion, well, that's a joke, not only I didn't receive the gas, but I received a "Nasty Phone Call from my sales person" He was extremely rude, telling me I shoud've filled it out all "100 %" which most of it I fill out satisfactory, but he went on about how I got him now on probation and he might get terminated, etc, and complained about how much trouble he went through to sell this truck, as I had my tires exchanged, tool box, etc, but their shop did the exchange on the accessories, but I felt the threats in his voice, as he was so mad over this survey, he should've been very polite as this truck come right off their show room floor, and I can assure you wasn't cheap or discounted at all. I didn't know that GM allowed their representatives to call up their customers and make such calls as I had to go through, so I was eventually put through HQ in Central Texas Representive which did what she could to see about if I can receive a Litha or Loyal coustomer discounts, etc, which I was ended up past back down to the same dealer ship here in San Angleo, Texas Manager over both Litha's we have here, not to get awarded anything, also the truck has some blimishes on the roof(cab) and after talking with their Manger, no one seems to know anything about it or how the noiticable touch ups got done, as I'm sure it didn't come from the factory that way, one would figure that they'd would've least came back with a discount to accomidate me after everything I've been through, I was offered a different truck by the repersentaive in Central Texas HQ, but since I've already had things done to this truck and bought I intend to keep it, If I'd know I was going to go through all this to to get a vehicle, I've would've went else where, also I can't seem to find any Detroit HQ #'s to call to carry this out, any suggestion, thanks for taking the time to listen, Wayne Williams, San Angleo, Texas

Nice work GM. Bought a 2011 Terrain. Have had multiple issues. Went to a local dealer to purchase it but the dealer didn't seem interested in getting the specific car we requested. We then did our own research and traveled to Cincinnati and purchased a car from a great dealer. Since it was a 2 hour trip we tried to establish with the dealer we first approached. We had previously bought 2 vehicles from them. Oh the dealer 2 hours away gave us $2500 trade in at time of purchase. The local dealer quoted $1000. To summarize. This 2011 vehicle is rusting. The compressor has failed. Heating and cooling is messed up. Recalls. We tried 2 other local dealers because none of those we tried were helpful in resolving issues. There's more but whatever. The car is rusting with 24,000 miles on it. The back hatch now only goes up half way. We were told those wear out. Hmm. Final slap in the face was dealing with customer service. They were rude and not helpful. I called corporate customer service and was told they would get in trouble if they skipped the chain of command and made me call the main customer service number. They stated "I'm not saying that number is customer friendly". Shameful but true. Got a call from a supposed higher level person, William, who actually said that because we didn't buy the car from a local dealer and we hadn't established a service record with one the dealers might penalize you by charging more. Is that legal? So no help, lots of money spent, and a car with low miles rusting. No more GMs for us. We were 30 year customers.

Oi purchased a 06 pontiac g6 around 08 by the way itd a gtp. The transmission went out in 2011. I have had some priblems with disabilitied that came allthe way up. Suddenly I am without money I uss ti have..now this car had problem one after the other I think workers should have more pride than you all have exemplified in making this car. Tale of woe with my Chevy Silverado,

If you don't want to read this entire tale of woe then let me sum it up here. Your Chevy truck may rust out to the point of being pulled off the road because of rust in as little as 84,000 miles making it a loss for resale or trade in.

I've had a Chevrolet Silverado since 2003. I purchased it new. It is an automatic V8 Z71. The off road sport model. This story isn't about the multitude of issues that it has had regarding brakes, brake lines, rotors, wheel hubs, and bearings. No, that's another story. Back in 2003 I worked out a price, with trade in of about $23,000. Since then, and as of this writing 2014, I've put in about $7000 of non maintenance work and parts into it. Yes, it's going on 11 years old now but it's only got 84,000 miles on it and it pretty much looks near new from about ten feet away.
The other day I took it to my service station for an oil change and inspection. It seems that the frame is rusted out so much that an inspection sticker is impossible. The recommendation is to get rid of it as repair of the frame would be expensive as the rust is widespread and affects cross members that are pivot points.
So, I'm stuck with a truck that looks great on the outside but has a rusted frame that makes it '˜junk' status in a trade-in and unsellable privately as it's not inspected. The vehicle has what I figure as half of it's mileage. I'd expect to get at least 160,000 miles instead of the 84,000 it currently has. Why? Because even though I do live in the snow belt in Maine where road salt is used. I have a Tahoe that is 14 years old, has 164,000 miles on it (double the mileage), has been driven in the same area and housed in the same garage and has a frame that has a few years left in it.
I called GM. All I'll say is that I got a case number and promise of being called back. That never happened. I called and got another case number as there was no record of the first with the promise of a call back. That didn't happen. I took it to a chevy dealer, on my own, who lifted it and documented the issue. They called GM and I was promised a call from them. That didn't happen. I called again. My case number was classified as '˜issue resolved'. My last tussle with GM was a flat you're over warranty so there's nothing we can do'. Two weeks to get that final answer.
So what was I hoping for? A deal on a new vehicle? Some repair funding? An apology? Anything would have been okay. In looking for a new truck last week I did find out that Toyota had a horrendous frame rusting issue in some trucks from 2001-2004. What did they do about it? Up until 2012 they volunteered owners of these vehicles a new frame installed at Toyota's expense or 150% blue book value of the vehicle. Thousands of truck owners were contacted and restitution was made. What about after 2012? They will still come to some restitution on a case by case basis as long as you own the vehicle.
So, a warning. If you've got a GM vehicle and have been happy with it like I have with my older tahoe, well that's wonderful. But, the next GM vehicle you purchase could be great or it could be a disaster that will drain your bank account and cause you to have to purchase a new vehicle before you're ready. With GM, It's a crap shoot.

Other notes:
Notice driving/headlights out on cars as they pass. Most are GM. (my truck loses them all the time.

Look for used trucks on Craigslist. You'll see a bunch. 2/3 of them a Chevys.

When I see someone in a parking lot with a Silverado truck that is about the same year as mine I ask about it. I hear the same tale of woe.

2006 HHR, have called and called about my car. Something is wrong with ignition switch. . Last night came out in a parking lot it would not start key was stuck would not turn. No power couldn't get back open either. Nobody to even look at it at GM. I took it to dealership today and left it in front of building I'm going to have to lose a day maybe more of work to get the matter taken care of. Why won't they look at it?

Hello, I am Todd Criasinger. I co-signed for my sons Chevy cobolt, ss. I also bought a new 4by4 1500 truck & used Pontiac Grand Prix. My new trucks brakes went out on the freeway & my wife slid out in the middle of the freeway. I returned the truck & got a loaded LST 1500. My son got Steven Johnson syndrome while I was in Malaysia. My wife to this day gets freaked out driving. I had to go chapter 13 & I was forced to pay of the entire 15,000 for my sons cobolt that you guys repossessed & resold for more money. You guys repossessed the LST, & since I had to pay for the Pontiac & the cobolt you resold, I lost my bankruptcy & my finances where destroyed. This was well after you guys got paid off for the cobolt I never got to keep. I told you guys & you said you could not do anything but tell the dealership. Basically you got 19,800 + interest for a 15,000 cobolt & almost killed my wife & destroyed our finances because my payment for the bankruptcy was 700 a month for me having only the Pontiac. You tell me, how you care, Todd.

I wanted to put something in writing and there was no way to do so on the contact page so I shall leave my comments here.
My 2011 HHR had the ignition problem a few months ago. It was very scary. I was alone on a Saturday night and the HHR shut off with a huge noise as I drove in Fort Walton Beach, Fl. No dealership was open so after I waited about 20 minutes, I went slowly home. It sounded as if the whole engine fell out and the HHR jerked to a stop.
On Monday morning I took it to Preston Hood Chevrolet. They could not find anything wrong and said the computer data was wiped out when I turned off the car and did not drive it the rest of the weekend. Yeah, right! I was supposed to keep it running until Monday Morning?
I think you should replace the ignition switch on those that have had a problem, first and not wait until April 21st or provide a rental car until then. Believe me it was horrible. I do not want to take it back to Preston Hood Chevrolet when I am allowed to have it corrected. Also, the passenger side air bag and seat belt lights on the dash acted-up and I took that in to them and they found nothing then either. I wish I could get a new car after all this from GM.

I have a 2007 Chevy HHR, that I haven't been able to open the doors on since the cold weather got serious. The sun melts snow, and the water runs down into the door frame, freezes, and blocks the door from opening. There is currently a 3 inch thick ice formation behind the front bottom corner of the front doors. To force the door open would badly bend the bottom edge of the door. Very frustrated. I called the dealer who said they had never heard such a thing.

My Daughter's 2009 HHR Turbo has had a starting problem for 2 years. It will start fine sometimes but other times it won't even click.
The fuel pump comes on and all the electrical seems to work. To start it she has had to have someone push it, which it starts easily (stick shift)and may run fine, starting OK or it may not start the next time she turns it off.
My concern is, she has had to stop for gasoline at night and the thing won't start...or she will be out for something and it won't start which can be a very unsafe thing for a single young lady.
It has been in the Dealers shop several times and they send it home saying they can't find the problem.
The hours lost on this problem are becoming huge in number.
