All my wife and I can do is provide a narrative of the bad experience we've had with Edward Jones investments. Initially we went to the Bastrop, Texas office on the advice of our CPA. The advisor at the time, (new retired), was Charles Mazak who advised that we transfer out American Funds account along with another 75K to his control. He said that it would cost a few thousand but that we would earn that back within a year. On his advice we did so and then found that the funds were reinvested back with American Funds where they had been before. We never recovered the loss. Next we worked with Jill Lube, (who is also no longer with Edward Jones). She advised an annuity but never explained that the funds would be locked in with only a small percentage being made available annually. I'm seventy years old and will never see that money again by the end of my lifetime. The Bastrop office closed down and we moved the funds to the Smithville, Texas office. There I explained that our money was intended to care for us in our old age. As a result the new adviser offered an insurance policy at the rate of over five hundred dollars a month never suggesting anything about our investments. We finally moved our entire account, almost a million dollars, to Morgan Stanley and have been satisfied with their service. I would never suggest using Edward Jones to anyone.
