Received a $20.00 off coupon toward my next purchase of $100 or more. Attempted to use the coupon today to purchase water, batteries and beer. The staff told me that the coupon was not valid on "liquor "purchases. No where on the coupon exemptions does it state that. In fact it states "Excludes liquid dairy products..." To say this is dishonest and a waste of my time is an under statement. Your managers and staff require far better customer relations training.

As a long-time Smart & Final customer, I am very UNHAPPY with new push by your grocery store which always prided itself on offering low prices without coupons, etc. for customers to download digital coupons to get 'bargains'. You are discriminating against me and everyone else who only has a flip phone and cannot easily 'scan' the codes. At the minimum, clerks should be required to pass the savings along to us when we explain about or lack of technology.

I was at Smart and Final store no. 413 on 6060 Figueroa St. Highland Park at around 11:06 A.M.
on 11/17/22. One of your workers, Maira or Mayra, was most helpful in helping me with my iphone to make a digital coupon purchase. I am a novice in the use of the iphone and she patiently tried to set up an app for me. She also brought a bandaid for me when she noticed a small bleed on my thumb. She was not a cashier and I did not hold up any lines, She was doing other chores when I asked her for help. My compliments to her for assisting me, a customer.

Hello: I like to report to you on 10/29/22 visited your store in Chino Ca to buy First Street chicken leg quarters buy touching the tray my hands smells like dead animal the way they pack
these chickens in those trays,I have to wash my hand three times to get red of the smell on my
hands,and this is the not the first time,once before in Chino Hills Ca with the same issue told them about the same problem and the smell comes out of these open coolers.

I just wanted to comment on 2 employees at your 2750 E. Main St. Ventura, Ca. store. I called from your Oxnard Office, asking if the Ventura store carried First Street nacho cheese sauce in the #10 can, since the Oxnard store did not have it. Scott, from the Ventura store, kindly said his store did have it, but to make sure, he went to go look. He verified his store did have it, so I said I would be right over.
After looking for it on the shelves, I didn't find it. I walked around to locate an employee of Smart and Final, hoping they could help me. I located a kind young lady, stocking eggs in the frig, asking her if she knew a Scott that worked there. I told her my situation, and we went to the shelf area where the nacho cheese can should have been. She then said she would look in the back to see if there was any. She then said she would locate Scott, called him, and he said they were located in the front of the store. I followed her and I finally got my nacho sauce. Then I asked her for another item, and she went right to the aisle and got it for me. I asked her, her name, and she said it was Angela.
I just want to say, between these two employees, they made my life so much easier, and the kindness and going above and beyond their jobs, says so much for Smart and Final, and them as kind individuals. I want to express my gratitude and to say to both Scott and Angela, you made a difference in my day, making it easier, and a happier one! Thank you!!

I was BLATANTLY DISRESPECTED on 2-25-22 around 9:15 am by African American Female Store Manager located in Venice on Lincoln Blvd. She asked me was I next in line line, I said, yes. Then she asked customers behind me was I next, insinuating, I was lying about my place in line. I am a disabled Veteran who wear medical shoes and as I was exiting the store, the manager said, " I HOPE YOU FALL".. This kind of RUDENESS to CUSTOMERS is UNACCEPTABLY

Several times have gone to the Rancho San Diego Store in Spring Valley at 445 to 515pm and most of the time they do not have any roasted chickens ready, what is this, people get off of work that want a chicken, this is such bad customer service, what are you thinking or do you not care, if it were my store you bet I would have chickens ready for my customers ready to go, ut not you, really, how sad, I think we will go to Vons or Albertsons from now on.

My EBT card has been freezing up registers at a LB Ca. Smart and Final Extra. Twice this week. The clerks are very sweet, but the manager said it was my card, which is not true. This could be a hardship to someone who believed that to be true. Please tell managers not to make a blanket statement and freak people out.

I shop at S&F frequently and like the store and goods. During the COVID shutdown you instituted the "one line" check out routine. It was great! In my last visit you returned to the "choose your own check out" system which is not as efficient for customers or space. Please go back to the one line system.

Shopped at Rancho San Diego store today. The girl greeting us as we walked in was such a delight and pleasure to deal with. However, Bransen, a checker, was horrible. His nose was running and he was wiping his hand on our spaghetti squash (disgusting), he was banging our bottles and groceries as well as shoving our spaghetti squash so hard I thought it would break. His appearance was unsanitary. He appeared to have literally just got out of bed without combing his disgustingly dirty hair or changing his clothes. This is suppose to be a job where customer service matters. Terrible attitude. He asked me 3 times if I wanted a bag. I said yes each time and at the end he looked at me and said you want a bag or not, nodding at me as if to say if you do, get bagging your own damn groceries. Ridiculous and disgusting behavior. We then asked to speak to a manager and Jocelyn came up. I asked her for her name and if she was the store manager. She said she was the manager which in fact was a lie as she was simply a supervisor not even an assistant store manager. She was immediately combative and extremely unprofessional. We have just moved to the area and were trying out our local Smart & Final for the first time. They just lost a $1,000.00 minimum a month due to extremely poor customer service. I know they don't care because if they did this would never have happened.

Good morning this morning i went to ur stanton, ca. store at 6am because you were the only retail store open in the area at this time. First of all I was picking up sodas for my shop employees grand total came to $285. to my embarrassment my credit card was declined at the register. This was not only humiliating but your manager dealt with me very rudely and unprofessional. I asked if I could write a check for the purchase and he said reluctantly you can try. So I wrote a check out he abruptly grabbed the check my ID stormed off to get verify the phone the funds were of course available and they're and because he was so upset that the check was good he declined it because my driver's license was scratched and he claimed my license was altered. which it was not so I got my check back and proceeded to leave. At which time the manager ran outside with his camera and take a picture of me and my car with my license plate then I proceeded to get out of the car to discuss what the problem was and he accused me of cashing a fraudulent check or attempting not only is he unprofessional and rude you should not be in a place of management I will not be returning to any of your stores is obviously your management people are not trained appropriately if the check that I was trying to write was fraudulent he should have called the police if that's what he truly believed I think he was embarrassed because he verified the funds and it was a good check instead of honoring it and having to admit that I could afford it.
I will never use another of your chores and I will tell everyone of my friends and family have poorly-trained your management staff is your lucky if you don't get over their behavior you

I am a retired State Firefighter/EMT. I used the La Quinta store. The line for social distance is all fouled up and the customers and staff look like stranded rubber ducks in a toilet. I tried to complain but the clerk and manager were useless. Your box boy was actually laughing at me when I said I was a retired Firefighter.I will report your asinine staff to the better business bureau. I will also let all my friend/Family/co-workers know not to ever use smart and final.

You employees are ghetto as hell. I was screamed at to wear a mask coming in. Someone should get off their butt and just stand by the door instead of yelling. I will NEVER be back to ANY of your stores and will let everyone know how you do business

I shop at the Smart & Final on N Texas in Fairfield CA. I just want to say what great staff you have at this store. They are always helpful and cheerful. Even returned an expensive purse to me that I had left in the shopping cart. They were all just fantastic when that happened. Says a lot about your workers and shoppers. I'll shop there more in the future.

Today shopped at the Chula Vista location on Main Street. I had a back to school coupon and the cashier refused to even look at it. She said it was only for First Street items. She was alsi rude. I told her I couldnt carry tbe cade of water and she said she would try to scan it while in the shopping cart. Her scanner was cordless. I called to speak to a managet she said call back im 20 minutes. I asked why she didnt take my coupon and she said because she was alone. There was 1 person behind me and no one else waiting. I needed help put. I waited 10 minutes in the sun
No came out to help. A nice man in the parking lot asked if he could help and did. Your cashiers name on receipt says Crestita but i thought she said Grace when I spoke to her. Never got my 1p% off. False advertising.

The Diamond Bar Smart and Final is impossiblevto ship in. The whole store feels like a freezer super cold. Also they need to carry Flank steak that I can never find but The City if Tustin does... can you help with sticking this store with it. Thank You there have been numerous complaints from the DiamondBar area that that store is too cold to shop in...

I went to the smart and final on 3141 main Street a cashier by the name of amber was super unfriendly and her breath reaked of Alcohol not only that but her finger nails looked like a smokers. I did ask her how does she come to work love like this she literally told me what my manager doesn't know won't hurt her. I just went alomg with it and smiled but you can rest a sure after I tried looking for a manager because I was super uncomfortable.no manager was found smh as long as that drunk and drug user is working there I refuse to go back so I suggest they let her go ASAP!!

Hi, I am a regular shopper at your store in Fresno,Can @ Blackstone and Clinton. I wanted you to know how amazed I am with one of your newest cashier's. This girl always has a smile for each customer who goes thru her line. She is friendly and sincere. She has gone above and beyond for me personally. When she asked me if I had found everything ok I replied not everything I was looking for boxed scalloped potatoes and could not find them. She assured me that you did have them. She offered to have someone get them for me, the person she called was unavailable and. I said never mind i looked on every isle. She told me that she would go get them for me , she wasn't going to let me leave with out everything I needed. Before I could answer her she said be right back to me and the customer behind me. She came back with 2 boxes of the Betty crocker scalloped potatoes and ask if this is what I was talking about. I replied yes, she then told me what isle and exact location so next time I could find them. I was so impressed, it's not that often that you see an employee really care. Hats off to you for hiring this girl. Please let her know how much it means to me.

OK, so your AD comes out on Wed, it is now Sat, and only 5pm. I have been to two of your stores and could not find any of YOUR ADVERTISED 40oz Bar-S Polish sausages, or any of the selected varieties. What kind of Shxx is that? YOU!! advertised the product, not me, and your stores here in PHX AZ are not close together. I am very pissed off, I would have to be, in order to take the time to send you this message. Tell your employees not to tell a pissed off customer "to have a nice day" it is the employees way of saying go Fxxx yourself, and it does not resolve the situation. Because of what transpired in YOUR store, I will never shop, or spend my money, in any of your stores again. YOUR incompetence and that of your ordering manager is overwhelming, with a response of "well people are buying them", of course they are buying them that's why they go there, and telling me that there might be a truck tomorrow does not help me today. If you think that you are the only store in Arizona you could not be farther from the truth. Anytime I get a future ad in my mailbox, from your store, it will be used to wipe my Axx, it may be a little rough, but it will be well worth it, because that's what I think of your company, your assistant manager, and your cashiers. I would suggest that you change your name to and Final", because Smart & Final does not apply. Hopefully you will go out of business, and I wont have to be reminded of the crappy business practices that you provide.

Do you guys drug test or give alcohol test for your associates! If not you should start I am furious with a cashier of Amber at the Chula Vista store. She is not friendly she kept limited conversation I guess it was so you couldn't smell the alcohol on her breathe. Not only that but she was sweating bullets it wasn't even that hot in the store. That is definitely a sign of a meth user,it is so sad the service you get especially with spending your hard earned money. Besides this comment I want to give a special thank you to Moises for helping me with his product knowledge and helping me to my car. Now he knows how to treat a customer,this is the smart and final on main Street in Chula Vista

I am truly disturbed by the service I received from a smart and final in Chula Vista. The cashier was amber she was very very rude,my elderly grandmother is handicap and she drools amber made a comment stating I should get her a bib. I demanded a manager and she laughed right in my face. I told her she doesn't deserve to work at this store if you treat people like this she said yeah yeah whatever you and your big baby should go home now. I will never ever shop there again if she is working there!
