I have concerns about this Medication Insurance with CareMark/CVS as the medication plan has changed. I have a history of sinus infections & my Doctor has always prescribed a Z pack which is effective for my sinus infections. I was recently informed at a CVS pharmacy that Caremark denied the Z pack prescription. How can a prescription be denied if it has been an ongoing medication?

Dee O, customer, unhappily
We have been with, Caremark mail in order, since April 2012, no problems.
But now we don't get the proper treatment. Staff keeps givenning the run around. Staff say one thing and does the opposite.
Caremark, offvers a 90days for prescriptions. But they refuse and change the plan. I cannot get 90days for my meds, only 30days mail in order, why?
Just order from Caremark mail in order, at the doctors office with staff place prescriptions order, last 11/15/16. Staff said you can get 90days prescriptionsmail in order dept. Today Saturday 11/18/16 meds came and no 90days only 30days, plus generic meds are 15$, they charge 30$ for generic.
So, why, Caremark change the plan, even they paid 2x this yr for 90days?
Why staff give us and doctors office the run arround, and lose Dr prescriptions?
Why Caremark is refusing to pay for my meds all of a sutton, why?
This is unprofessional, this is Caremark refusing service to an medical need person. This call take avanage of consumers. The meds are expansive and now the consumers have to pad for less then what Carmark have been paying for yrs. Hoping the company to change Caremark and insurance, next yr. Looking forward to the change, and consumers are not happy. Wish Caremark and staff the best in the future, may
God have mercy on your souls.
Thanks.

Well to say that I am unhappy with CVS Caremark is an understatement. I have breast metastasis on my liver and have to get my chemo through them. I have been trying for a week to refrill a prescription. I called on a Tuesday - I was told package would be delivered on Friday..,Friday came no package. I called Friday and I was told there is a problem with script. (Try getting your doctor at 5:30 on Friday). Monday I call to check- will be delivered Tuesday. I called Tuesday of following week to verify and now I am told there is an issue. Please have doctor call. Doctor called 4 times and finally one week later allegedly package will arrive tomorrow. I'll believe it when I see it.

No one calls you back. Everyone blames the doctor or you the patient. They have poor customer service and it is a disgrace that people dealing with severe medical problems have to deal with this BS every month to refill a prescription.

I called insurance company and they are the only option- so they get you coming and going. You have no choice but to deal with their incompetence! I have never dealt with such a horrible company and I have been battling cancer for 5 yrs. Shame Shame Shame

If you choose Caremark for your prescription coverage, at least you can drop them because of their poor customer service and unprofessional and disorganized job performance. I don't have that choice because Caremark is what my employer offers me!
I'm stuck with them and I need lifesaving medicine because of a transplant! I have to call constantly just to get my meds on time.
They are playing with the lives of very sick people, just look at these terrible reviews! Upper management needs to do something about this!!

I have to use a name brand medication because it the only one that works . For the past three years I would get it at CVS under my husband's UAW prescription cate. Always paid a co-pay of $17.00, until last week! I was told my co-pay was $63.44 for a 3 month supply. When I called I was told my Dr. Wrote the script wrong. Seems Caremark/CVS now wants brand name scripts to be written with the name of medication and then say " generic available" but not check the box for brand name or you will get generic brand. So I went to the doctor who found the rumors in my thyroid & para thyroid and he wrote the script &a faxed it to Caremark and now they said they never got. And in today's mail I got a form for Dr. To fill out questions as to why I can only take name brand. I've already paid the penalty price for the first wrong script and now it looks like my doctors will have to jump through hoops to get the medication I need. My life depends on this med. without the right med all my bodily functions go down to danger levels. But Caremark doesn't care!Plus every woman I have spoken to over the last week on the Caremark phone line has given me a different answer as to how to do this their way!!!

I think that CVS Caremark is horrible. The website is a real pain, I cannot ever get my passwords to work and the customer service is severely lacking. My Rx are always messed up. I really miss my Company Benefits when I had Express Scripts. Caremark really needs to adapt the Express Scripts' service model... and then perhaps the company may get better reviews.

Can someone from Cvs/care mark contact me to help me get my medications. It seems there is always a problem wth them. My doctors office is so tired of messing with them that they will not talk to them. I am stuck in the middle and all I want is my medications. HELP.

GEHA dropped Express Scripts and went with CVS Caremark.
Now we are having an address issue with my Dad's Assisted Living (Bridgeway Estates Assisted Living) in Little Falls, MN order meds for my Dad. CVS told the RN nurse they'd deliver my Dad's this last time but they MUST continue and the nurse is authorized. Please advise asap.

I have used mail order in the past and Caremark is the most inefficient service I have ever used. I do not understand why they call for authorization of payment on each prescriptions. My prescriptions (6) were all ordered at the same time but I received phone calls on each one over $50. I asked to do them all at one time but it did not happen. I received numerous calls and frequently had to call back which is a nightmare and waste of time. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with their representative and thought the issues were resolved but then got another phone call for authorization request. I've asked to doit by email but was told it had to be by phone. I need to find a different mail order pharmacy. Any suggestions?

CVS care mark insurance is the worst insurance I have ever had I would never recommend them to any one!I have called them quite a few times to take care of a problem with my insurance and they have yet to do it and every time I call a representative to take care of it they have no idea what to do. Why do they have a job if they can not use a computer and fix the problem I am unable to fill my prescriptions with my insurance because care mark does not know how to do there job. I have to keep paying out of pocket. Why do I pay for insurance if I am unable to use it. They need to get it together over there and on the same page. Very unhappy with them I am looking into other insurance company's.

I went to CVS Pharmacy on Market Street, Lemoyne, Pa. 17043 ( West Shore Plaza ) Comp Dr. had sent in another prescription for my neck pain from a job injury. When I told her there is no co pay for me , she said it went under caremark. I showed her the insurance card from Eastern Alliance and told her I used it here before for the required prescriptions. She said they have nothing on file and couldn't use it. I was told to wait until all the other customers in line were taken care of. The next customer was my pregnant daughter, had problem with her insurance card also. My daughter called insurance right away and gave the phone to the tech. As she is giving the imformation , she gives " my birthdate " so I said NO, you're mixing mine up with hers. She finally was able to get hers. However she insisted she couldn't give me mine even though I told her that I've used it at this very pharmacy for the same injury. I took my card back and walked out as I told her I'm not getting my blood pressure up. There seems to be a great lacking in responding to a patient's needs. I can't believe they have no way of seeing I've gotten prescriptions there for this from Norlanco. Now I'm without the medication he subscribed. I will call Eastern Alliance on Monday to ask where else I can go , as well as the Doctor to let him know I was unable to get the medication. I will definitely call my regular insurance to see what other pharmacy I may use also. It may not matter that I'm only one customer but I do believe in word of mouth and I will let anyone I can of my situation and how poorly it was handled. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Lmp.

I'am very ticked off with one of the clerks in the Pharmacy, her name tag has Carlee on it and she is very rude, when ever I go there to drop off a prescription
she makes you feel you are doing her a favor by coming into the store.
I will pay full price somewhere else just so I don't have to go back to this store.
The store is in Fremont, Ohio 43420 and is on East State Street.
I have herd this from a few other people and I will not put up with this type of unfriendly ness.
If something is not done with this person I will never go this store again.
Thanks for you time.

I had no warning that CVS Caremark was changing their address. When I called the , as stated on my rx bottle, the person answered with the statement that the number had been changed, and that company had bought the number, and tried to "sell" me a Walmart gift card worth $100 if I would sign up for a magazine subscription that could be cancelled within 15 days if I didn't want it. Some come on. I kept asking for the new number for CVS Caremark and they gave me a number that was no longer in service. I then went online to get a number that didn't answer as CVS Caremark, but some other company. I asked to speak to a representative, and finally got my questions answered and the new phone number to call for future rx refills. I was very disappointed in the new plan you have of letting people know what's going on. :(

First order.....most frustrating experience I've ever had. They said they needed a new script for my Inhaler, they contacted my doctor and he faxed them a new one. Then, it was supposed to ship on March 16 - and didn't. I called Cust Service every day for a week and was told it was processing - finally, I e-mailed them and was told my particular inhaler was not on their "preferred medicine list" ... have you doctor send a new script for something else.

Tried to purchase a small U.S. flag yesterday to honor my Vets on Veterans Day. Lots and lots of Christmas items to purchase, but no flags. I pursued my questions up the management chain to find out the answer was, "We did not sell enough last year..." So they will now only sell flags on the 4th of July,
Got it? Not enough profit in selling a flag for a vet on Veterans Day!
I then called the District Manager. At 2:30 pm on a Friday, NO ONE was there to answer the phone.
I guess an awful lot of vets had to serve and die over 200+ years so they all could have this long weekend in sunny Florida.
Shame on CVS!

I have used CVS several times and at least three times it was a very frustating experience. It has happened again. Today I ordered a refill for my husband. I had to transfer from another pharmacy because it was not CVS. I was told it would be ready after 5:pm.I put in my request at 9:AM. I called before I went to the store,at 5:P.M, they could not find it at first and then told me they were having trouble with the system and come in tommorrow. Later called to tell me that I could come then. That does not sit well with me. Customer service is something lacking here.

Company does not know the meaning of Customer Service. A claim should only have to be submitted ONCE and it shouldn't take six months, a multitude of calls and finally my employer involvement to get reimbursement.
I am so thankful my employer has changed vendors.

Worst company to deal with, can not resolve any issues. Spent all morning on the phone was transferred person to person, department to department..... Still no resolution the final draw was a representative who spoke broken English and could not understand me!!!!!!

You try to get validation of medication and dosages from people that don't know how to read a prescription and then when you ask to speak to a real pharmacist you sit on hold for >20 mins. I work in a hospital and it's imperative that you have correct medication names/dosages/routes/frequency etc and dealing with Caremark is a nightmare!!! I gave up getting my own meds from them and now only use a neighborhood pharmacy because of the lack of customer service.

Don't waste your time with this company. They are rude, unprofessional and unethical. They caused me all kinds of problems when they filled a perscription that I did not authorize them to fill. Because of this I ould not fill it at my local pharmacy. After a major hastle of contacting them I requested that they cancel whatever they had done. I was told they would but after again trying to obtain my perscription the following day they had not followed through. I was totally out of a perscription that I am not suppose to stop taking. After another major hastle of trying to reach a l

The customer service is the worst I have ever encountered. A pescription for flomax was shipped to me via mail. I had not requested it and did not want it since I was having prostate surgery the following week and would not need it again. Immediately, I called CVS/Caremark and explained that this was not needed. I was told my dr. office had faxed in the order (my dr. office denies faxing it) and I would have to pay for this even though the prescription has never been opened. I've called Customer Care no less that 6 times always getting a different rep but still getting the same rude response to my request to let me return this unopened pres. and clear my account. They refuse and don't seem to care one bit that senior citizens are having to pay for someone else's mistake. I am livid and will contact CVS Corp. Office.

Don't even get me started about CVS Caremark. It is by far the worst perscription drug provider I have ever worked with! They input perscriptions incorrectly (or on purpose because they can charge me more by doing so), they quote their pricing for a drug one way before you sign up and then quadruple the price once you are signed up, and one of their systems has no record of another system of theirs. It's maddening! I am shocked they haven't been sued over the plethora of their screw ups!

I am concerned about what appears to be confusion with ordering. The confusion is the issue of generics. the person taking the phone are not knowledgeable in guiding you into offering the best pricing of prescriptions. Secondly, I have had orders not entered. In past years these issues did not exist. What's changing:training, employee turnover, under staffing(hold times have increased to unacceptable levels), attitude or poor management? Whatever it is,"IT'S BROKE" fixit!
