I do not live in IL. Someone has stolen my identity! I have written the web master numerous times. Trying to get this crap solved NOW! Will not call again endless garbage! For some stupid lady oh I am married! No I am not! And I do not live in Sterling IL.! Solve this crap! Saying I owe over $1,214.00! When I know and have been told my identity has been stolen! Stop playing games! Get off your BUTTS! SOLVE NOW!

Left a report of a street light out on April 12th. Got an email response saying they would be out in a "a day or two" to fix the problem. The truck came on April 18th to fix the light, that night the light didn't work. Reported it again on the 19th of April. Again, got a response saying thank you, we will be out "in a day or two to fix the problem". Here it is, May 2nd, 2018 & they are a no show. Meanwhile, another streetlight has gone out. So I reported the no show on the 2nd response to the 1st light & reported the 2nd light being out for the 1st time. Everybody got that? Hope so. Hope that ComEd has got it. The street is getting very dark & the neighborhood is not all that great so it would be nice to have all the lights on again. I'm guessing it's not the bulb, that maybe it's an old breaker that is starting to go & taking a string of lights out with it. The 2nd light is the next 1 down from the 1st light, same side of the street. Can you hear me now, ComEd?!?!?!?!

Not very nice.... Collection without even showing last bill. Makes me wonder what's hidden in it. This very unfair way of treating customers.... Makes me happy I'm moving out of this corrupt state and won't have to use ComEd

Hello I called your office and I wanted to set up a new address your customer service rep who could not tell me why I was being charged $160. I wanted to talk to someone in the credit department to find out why I've been with ComEd for 27 years never made one late payment and I'm one I want to know why just from moving into a condo from my home why there's $160 fee I can be reached

If you want my money I will give it to you but I want to know why and you're up could not tell me she was very snippy on the phone telling me that I could not get this information I need to pay the money first and then I will get a letter in the mail.

On returning home from work at 5pm, we realized that someone had taken our electric meter from our rental house behind us leaving a very dangerous situation. I contacted Com Ed and was directed to customer service. I was treated very politely and professionally. A Com Ed service man was there in minutes to replace our missing meter. I would like to thank the whole Com Ed crew for doing a great job. I think sometimes our electric service works so smoothly we sometimes take it for granted.

wanted to write this while the weather has been very kind to us ,except a bit windy.This is about the unsung heroes,the men and women who risk their lives a lot of times to restore our power when severe weather comes our way.We think about and pray for them whenever our area or anywhere we see they have bad weather.I know they have a pretty thankless job,but I want them to know that we really do worry about their safety and really do thank them for the very hard job they do every day,God bless and keep them all safe,Thank you you our OUR unsung HEROES.

My electric bill is also outrageous '“ I called to find out how one small home could rack up $1200 in electric bills in one month. My bills were never ever this high ever in the 20 years I've owned this home. I understand it was cold but to go from $80.00 a month in the winter to $1200.00 is just ridiculous. I don't know how to pay this bill and I can't believe that one month could actually make me have to foreclose on my home. How in the world do I ever catch up from this?

When I called to discuss my bill I was lectured for 15 minutes by Marilyn Widmore at ComEd about how everyone's electric bills have gone up like this. I wasn't even allowed to ask questions, she just kept saying Let me finish'. When she finally took a breath I asked if I could say something and she acted outraged and said well of course you can'.

ComEd must think I'm too stupid to check with everyone in my office and all my neighbors to see what their bills are like. NO ONE HAS A BILL LIKE THIS. I also need to get a technician out to check the meter but I'm pretty sure it's not going to make a difference. I have gotten the same run around about sending a person out in a month. I think they just don't care about the equipment or meters that are currently servicing my area. My meter is so old that the seal has literally rusted away and it's just a piece of wire hanging there.

I live in the bottom portion of a very small duplex in which everything is electric. I stopped receiving paper bills for two months (right around the time ComEd decided to start estimating my bills) so when I checked the website recently, I was shocked to find a balance of over $1400! Not only is this an outlandish amount for such a tiny apartment (I couldn't rack up a bill that high if I turned my heat up to 100 degrees and ran it 24/7 for 6 months), the price jumped from $400 to $1400 in ONE MONTH. Whenever I call to have the meters evaluated, I get a different story. Either, "We can send someone out in a month or so to check your meter" (Sure. After I've racked up another $1000. Thanks), or my personal favorite, "$400 is a perfectly normal rate for electric heating." Right.

Wondering why no one has come to read our meter for two months now. Went to pay my bill and a very long story short (I have spent 45 min so far) come to find out the $530.00 bill they insisted I pay in early oct or my electricity would not be turned off I really didn't owe. So I still have over $365.00 credit. Go figure...if I could use any other electric company I sure would. What a scam, I wonder what they would do if I took their services and didn't pay.

com ed's outage alert system is a joke! I'm on it & have been without power for over an hour. Have not received an alert.Futhermore, it is also a joke that they offer to send you an email stating a loss of power. Over half of the customers I'm sure need power to have internet access to read their email. I just happen to have a battery backup for my laptop & wireless Wi-Fi. As usual, a dissatisfied customer. Given the choice , I can't think of many that would choose to have ComEd as a electric provider

Comed will shut off your energy service on a Friday. Reactivation of the service is next business day or Monday. A better policy would be to have shut off of service Mon-Thurs only.

I am off to the hotel with the wife and kids.

In calling your customer service phone number, due to a large call volume, I had to put in a time for you to call back before 3:30 p.m.. No matter what time I entered, whether it was before 3:30, or after 4:00, the automated system stated that the time I entered was an 'invalid' time.
Your automated customer service line needs some attention.. as do I. Making it so the automated system actually works, would be of great of great value to everyone..

I wish to locate nearest to me a Lighting Retailer so I can pick up some Lumens Light Bulbs. I was told I could locate this info by accessing ComEd on the internet. After a search, I don't find the site. Please advise.

I Paid The Rest Owed On Payment Plan At 5:37 You Should Have A Way That People Can Put Their Reference # In On Line Or By Phone,if They Paid At A Payment Center Such As Currency Exchange. It Is Not Fair If You Do Not Have This Option For People After 5:00. So That Way It Gets Processed On That Day. With Out Getting Screwed Over.

I called to cancel service due to moving and start new service at my new homeOk got the new service. I called ComEd 3 months later can't remember for what .to my surprise I was told the service was still on at the old address in my name. I expressed I sold that house 3 Months ago and no longer live there. I went to tell them I had canceled the service there when I ordered new service. I was told I have to pay that bill.I said I can prove when the house was sold and when I moved. They told me it didn't matter unless the new owners call and pay the bill. What ??????????? Like that's really going to happen. Well I wait for the 3day up coming Holiday than had it turned off on a friday..it was cold outside stll did I mention everything in the houes was electric. How can I held responsable for that bill I did EVERY thing right ????? Well I did pay the bill

According to ComEd, in order for me to avoid a neighborhood power outage because of a limb on the wires, the line has to be taken down 5 hours in advance of the arborist showing up? So I might as well wait for Mother Nature to take down the line. Either way my neighbors will be hurt.

This lady is elderly and thought she had pay her bill, but it was in April. She is 79 years old and has a machine in case an emergency. She has high blood pressure diabittis, back problems and 2 knee surgerys. But when the light was turn off so was the machine. Is been 5 day tomorrow and still no light. ComEd is not taking any excuse. Thank god is not hot other wise she would be dead. Help the elders no way not in Chicago.

I would like to know why we have so many power shortages in an area that we pay extremely high rates for your delivery service. In my opinion it absolutely SUCKS and we have to pay an outlandish fee to make money for you people to make your great profits and not give us the benefits that we deserve. Com end is the worst company to deal with .If you make payment arranges you better stick to them or you cannot get any extension or another arrangement .My Husband set up for payment arrangements and we then ended having financial problems due to me getting diagnosed with cancer my hubby had to take off work to run me to the doc in Wisconsin .My hubby called them and explained it to them but they are not sympathetic people ,I know they have a job but people due have financial problems every now and then .They don't have to be so cold and heartless .I am sure before they got their job at Com Ed they struggled to not all people are rich or have good paying jobs so why don't you give people a break you charge enough .You probably owe the poor people anyway since you have a lawsuit against you .Think how you would feel if it was reversed and you was the poor person .

I received a call from ComED corporate said the service is going to turn off by 2 PM if I don't pay $400 up front. It was on Satursday afternoon and the customer service office was closed. I called the number back and it stated that the number was ComED corporate number. It was a SCAM...Don't believe it! I am so surprise a big company as ComEd have this kind of problems and It effective and hurt all ComED customers include me. Watch out everyone! you could be the next victim from ComED SCAM. OMG, I found out today that I received a final bill for Comed shut off my service because someone said they were moving on the first floor, they didn't think to verify with me to shut my service off or that I was moving but just shut it off. How much sense does this make, we are in a world of people doing silly things to others so I cannot believe that it's so easy to cancel a service. I would think that they would confirm that you are moving before they switch the service over to someone new. WOW!!!

Com Ed sucks. They've been sayin they'll "be here tomorrow" for the last three days to restore our power. Today is now Saturday and they're closed.
