ComEd cut my home power without notice me on Friday afternoon I called comEd and I was told my power can be restored on next Monday. I did mail check but comEd didn't receive but i don't know it. I have two seniors and a kid at home. ComEd is the only power provider so they can do whatever they want.

Their voice menu system doesn't access selection anymore. I wondering when they are going to fix if, it has been like this since yesterday.

Calling customer service with a problem for a niehbor whos power is going off and on by it self and the only house this is happening to. 2 weeks after they were out to fix a problem thst was theres is bad but the guy is 90 years old cant call doesnt know what to do so we call and Keisha at the call center makes us both feel warm and comfy with the comment of you shouldnt have called back now hes back at the bottom of the list.WELL THEY JUSTED SHOWED UP AND LEFT WITHOUT EVEN GETTING OUT OF THE TRUCK.GREAT JOB COMM ED

When did people stop mattering? There is an elderly gentleman (90 y/o)that lives near me that is having problems with power to his house (ComEd's problem) from the pole to his house. We called ComEd for him, because without power, he doesn't have a working phone and the lady that answered was very rude and casual. I am not sure of ComEd's policies, but what's wrong with "common courtesy"? What's wrong with "respect"? This poor guy can't get around very well as it is; and he has to walk around in the dark just because this lady has NO compassion? October 14, 2012

A man representing Exelon came to my door telling me I could have some service charges removed from my bill. I wanted to call to see if this was legitimate.I called the customer service number on my bill. The very nice lady told me she handles only power outages. She was surprised to get my call. She tried to find a different number for me, tried to transfer me several times, and finally contacted her boss. The boss said they don't have any other customer service numbers. I find that very surprising, like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing--or maybe you don't provide any customer service except fixing power outages?? Sure makes me want to switch carriers-or move!!

Ive been on the phone for 1 hour now waiting to be transferred to a supervisor regarding a security deposit I know the waiting message by heart now what com ed needs are either more supervisors or more phone lines i'm 79 yrs old and getting older by the minute well there goes another 15 minutes. i m about to give up probably what they are hoping.,,,,,,,,

They mixed up meters and I'm paying my neighbors bill. I've called several times now and am waiting for a call back. How will this be resolved? No one seems to know. How could this have gone on for so long. I'm a new home owner and the bills were astronomical, so I had to investigate. ComEd doesn't care as long as they get paid. And what happens if you don't pay because they won't correct an error? You get the juice shut off and your credit rating is affected. They have terrible customer service. No one can answer my questions. Dide

I moved to new address today, so tried to set up the account under my name. I tried to do it online and unable to do it because error sign kept coming on that "Comed does not serve my address"
which is not correct. I am living in '415 Howard St, Evanston 60202' and Comed IS the provider.
I also tried to call them up three times today and i WAS ON HOLD for more than ten minuted before I was disconnected... I don't know what to do now.
Can somebody from Comed contact me?

I just got off the phone with ComEd because I'm not able to log in to their website. My log in info is correct, I should know..I've used it for years!! They told me they can't help me with internet issues.."if it's down, it's down"

OK so when is it legal for a company to ask for additional deposits because the first one you paid several years ago was estimated too low? If there's a number a can call to discuss or rectify this please let me know... Or if there's another service provider available in the Western Suburbs of Chicago I'd definitely switch! Completely unacceptable practices and customer service, I'm highly upset.

Ive dealt with many "customer service " depts. before -----Com-Ed's is non -existent.
Tried reaching some one several times but got tired of being on hold ( 1 hr. and 10 min. ) so I hung up. I guess Com-Ed feels that if they keep u on hold long enough that u will hang up in frustration and they dont have to deal with your questions or concerns. Im about ready to change power co's

They do NOT know what they're doing! Talked to three cust. svc. reps, was on phone for 40 mins with them, and constantly put on "HOLD" until last rep. HUNG UP on me because they could NOT answer a simple question i.e. what is the current electric supply service rate at COM ED? It is right on the custmers statement i.e. .0577 per kWh!!! They get angry at you for asking this question for some reason, also! Try it! James P. HesterABVW

I had a terrible experience with ComEd today. I called them in my lunch break to pay an atrocious amount of bill(that is not correct) because they shut off our electricity and requested them to send me a receipt via email.They absolutely refused to send an email receipt because I did not ask them at the beginning of the transaction they said. I have never heard anything like that from anyone, if someone pays their bill what difference does it make whether they asked for the receipt in the beginning or at the end of the transaction. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she refused to connect me to a supervisor because I believe the supervisor cannot do anything about it either. I think we should complain to the Better Business Bureau, so that this company will know how to treat their customers and be honest to their customers.

The beginning of this year I received a collection notice for $419.00. What??!! Supoosedly I owe comed this money,so blew it off as a mistake. Then receive a bill from comed in my wife's name WITH A REQUEST FOR A DEPOSIT OF $1000.00. Lets call and straighten this ,no problem rite WRONG! Comed said I called to cancel service in my name and to put it in my wifes name, I did no such thing so lets put it back in my name and lets move on. They tell me my wife has to cancel service in her name then i can have service in my name with a deposit. Are you FRIGGN KIDDING ME!!!! I've had all services in my name since we purchased the house NINE YEARS AGO. They tell me I never should've taken it out of my name. I never did idiot. Well apparently my wife was helping our daughter out by putting the electric in her name so our daughter can have service at her place and of course comed screwed it all up. Now they finally took my wifes name off our service,shut our power off and have us as NO SERVICE at our address.Can you friggn beleive this crap!!I asked a friend of mine to restore power until this is resolved. I know its not rite but I have kids and comeds actions during this whole situation has been HORRIBLE!!! I've been trying to have service put in my name for over a month now. WAITING 45 MIN TO AN HOUR for someone to pickup is ridiculous!!! Is there center I can go to and talk to someone face to face???????

Comed line is thru my sanitary drain causing rare sewerage to back up in my bath tub. Have called comed 4 times & one day 3 different times comed people came out & the last man said a claims adjuster would come out. It's been weeks now & when we called comed again we Were tolded no one was coming. We requested to talk to a supervisor & the lady would not transfer us. What do I have to do to get this fixed?

I have been trying to start services at my new residence but each time I have been put on hold for 30+ minutes. This is a nightmare.

Have been trying to setup my account...tried their online account setup which would not let me progress...so i thought maybe my credit is not good..tried my wife's..hers wont go through either...well...happens right..they gave the 1-800-334-7661 to reach out to...should be easy i thought...called on my way back from work day one...wait time 1hr...realized the time was past 6pm after waiting for 1hr..so hung up....called day 2 next week...wait time 45 minutes...same result...continued for 3 weeks now...today called during lunch for 45 minutes...and its still the same.

God bless this company for providing such a wonderful experience and still surviving...this wont be acceptable anywhere!

I am from Texas...where we can choose our provider.

COMED - endgame is around the corner.

The company without immediate notice turned off my power on Friday afternoon at 1PM due to a lack of payment on my part. The bill got lost and other life issues created the issue. They were calling my home phone which is only used for the alarm system. I was never notified on my cell. Once we realized what happened be got on the phone and after a 20 minute hold we paid the entire balance of what was due. We have a zero balance now. I then asked when they would restore service and they said in one working day. That means that i am without power for the next three days until Monday sometime. It is going to be another record high temp day today not to mention that we have two refrigerators and one freezer to deal with. I tried to call them back to discuss this issue three times and was on hold for over 45 minutes each time. I never got a chance to speak to a supervisor at all. If you cut someones power off don't do it on a Friday afternoon unless you work on Saturday to restore it. What happens when it rains over the weekend and the sump pumps have no power. I am blessed to have a generator that I am using to last until Monday but not everyone has that ability. Their policy needs to be addressed. I will ask my State Rep. to look into a bill that would address this. Well the bill is payed and here I sit waiting for the "company" to restore my service while I pack up our Daughters off to College. If you cannot help me you need to help others out that face the Friday afternoon cutoff without the ability to restore in 24 hours. Thanks for your support. Dan

I am trying to move my service. The website does not work. It can never identify who you are!! Then tried to call them to transfer my service and was on hold for an hour! Their wait time sucks!!!

Be careful how you set up your accounts. If comed over bills you or double bills you, they DO NOT send you a check back for the difference, they ONLY credit your next bill. Comed double billed me & in turn made my bank account negative with overdraft fees & refused to send me a check to pay my bank back & would ONLY credit my next comed bill. Talking nicely with customer service many times did no good & neither did asking for someone with higher authority. Funny how a multi million or billion dollar company cannot send me a check for $116.00!

I have tried for 1 1/2 HOURS to get through to someone to CANCEL my budget billing arrangement. I don't think I want to pay Seventy DOLLARS per month. My power line was broken by Comed on April 16 2012, after this Comed put item at my backyard as temporary solution for this problem. Since this we regularly called to Comed and asked to fix the problem. On July 16 one of the supervisors promised that this problem will be fixed. BUT... Comed did not fix it. Today my wife called to Comed and was transferred to supervisor. She was waiting for supervisor answer more than 1 hour and she was disconnected after 1 hour of waiting. I made a call and was transferred to supervisor as well. I was waiting for respond more than 1 hour and was disconnected as well.
Is it nice? I am a regular client of Comed and pay my electrical bills in time. What we, regular customers, should do to change the style of running business bu Comed?

If anybody has a solution please put your comments.

These clowns cut the power to the entire block & when I
went outside & caught them they advised me that I should
have gotten a call from Comed.
Wow your telling me 4-5 hours? How long? & why couldn'
t have a definitive answer on what y'all doing this for!

Comed has the worst supervisor service. It has taken at least an hour to get someone in the line to fix a mistake.
