They don't stand behind their products. Customer Service reps won't return e mails.
I have a Mustang 11 steering rack that leaked in the first year .The store won't do anything because even though they know I bought it there, the bill went missing and they claim they cannot find it in their records given the date and amount. They won't do anything in Brighton Ontario.
Numerous calls to Car quest and even Advance Auto Parts management got me nowhere, even after they said they would honour the LIFETIME warranty.
They said they would replace it , now they won't respond to me
The owner went so far as to say and tell Carquest I didn't buy it there.
His old partner overruled him years ago on a issue where I was right , now it's pay back .
Lousy way to treat a 20 plus year customer at other Car Quest stores

Just read Alex's review, I had a similar situation in the Stratford store, the manager was rude, not helpful at all. then tried to sell me used parts of his own. I went to the Stratford store for my parts but I'm capable of going to a wreckers myself thanks. this guy thinks he's all that. I wont bring my business there again.

I was in the Stratford CARQUEST recently, I was ignored by the manager, and a female employee, who were definitely close and had each other hands all over one another, what a way to run a business. when I did get his attention he was rude but had enough arrogance to say I'm the manager. like I was inconveniencing him. I told him to go back to his girlfriend, I took my business to Ideal. very professional. great service.

My elderly grandmother over paid for a car battery from the Frazier Park location and the car kept stalling afterwords. Triple A came out and saw the connectors were loose AND DIRTY. Carquest didnt even bother to do the basic brushing off of the connectors before installing. When she went back for help, as the battery is still not working the guy didnt want to help. She asked if he could at least look at the battery to see if there were any obvious issues, the guy came out and LOOKED at it with his eyes for 3 seconds and walked back in the shop! ANY basic battery sales/installation includes checking connections and other obvious and small things. It's not complicated or hi-tech thing to do. Yet this store and employee couldnt even do that. I'm sure if a healthy man was the customer instead of a frail senior woman, he would've done his job!!!

Last weekend while I was in a CarQuest in Lebec, CA that I stopped while going thru the area. There's a young girl working there- she looks like she's barely 14- She wore a CarQuest shirt but I did not see a name badge.
She was very rude and not helpful and when I asked if I could get some help she mumbled under her breath and walked away. I finally got help from another guy but I did not appreciate being treated like that by a teenager in a store I usually get good service in other areas. I asked for the manger but he was off that day.

I just want to take my time to let you know my experience with Mario Collado, What a service, I called Mario on 10/18/2019 answer my question, order my parts as well as check-in availability with other location Mario is very polite, and knowledge Mario knows what he is doing. I had bought parts before on this location, but for some reason, customer service was very bad, so I stop going, now that I know that Mario is working more in the morning taking orders I will most definitely go back again and refer the customer to this location. What a Great Service. I also like to mention that when I told the manager what a good customer service Mario Gave me over the phone and in person, the manager just said Yeah!!! Really. another thing I notice while he was helping me he was answering the phones and helping me at the same time, the manager, and another guy from the back is more concern about cleaning then customer service, or answering the calls, knowing that he was busy. I had done 25+ years in customer service and this is one of the best employees you have working for Carquest, Mario Collado Thank you for your great customer service.

I purchased a moog stocking ball joint that I didnt not need anymore at carquest in Turlock Ca.,and I was told I couldn't return it because it was past 7 days!!! brand new in box wasn't I suppose to be made aware of this before purchase?! it was not an outside purchase for them it was in their Modesto store after complaining I get a refund but after I paid $57.99 I only received $46.99...terrible

I purchased a few parts on carquest located on 803 s 1st San Jose ca.95110 my customer change his mind and I end up returning them but I had to pay $43 for restocking fee wish I didn't know at the time I bought them
I really think it's a rip off but that's not all I can handle that but what I can't handle is the attitude and the rudeness of the owners towards me no customers skills and bad language I'll never purchase anything from carquest ever again. ....

Tony brown in Glasgow MT store is a very poor manager and the operations that went on were ridiculous. I worked with him for nearly a year and I was amazed at the level of disrespect.

I have had a charge account at our local CARQUEST store in Malta, Montana for over 30 year, Solberg Farms of Malta. I had one of my men go to the local store this morning to purchase a part for his pickup and he was told that I no longer have a charge account. I spoke with the manager and it seems I was late on my bill some time in the past which I reply..... "Guilty as charged." So my account has disappeared. I asked the manager how much I owe and she said "It appears that you have $12 credit." I said so you owe me money, but I don't have an account to charge on any longer. I understand in the big picture that you need policies to stay current on your "Accounts Receivable" but shouldn't you look at history before you pull them off the books.

One of your employees named Josh in Pagosa Springs, CO was extremely helpful in helping my employer and I to get the diesel pickup started on 1/25/18. The customer service rendered by your employee was very remarkable and helpful. I see customers leaving negative comments about their experience, but I find it hard to believe they can't find something positive to say. We all make mistakes here and there. I'm sure they would be even less happy if there wasn't a CarQuest business in their area. We didn't get the part we needed, but the customer service was simply fantastic. I would return to this location based on this fact alone.

My experience at carquest in Brookings Oregon this morning was terrible. The employee cussed me out in front of the owner and called me bad names when I wanted to return some items with my recipes. He told me there would be a 20 percent restock fee..he turned to me and started saying you and calling me names and said he should charge me 80 percent restock fee..all this in front of owner.. this is Dan's Auto & Marine Electric in Brookings Oregon.. they should close there doors and never disrespect there customers..EVER..

I have a gold battery that was bought in 2016. The temp has only been at 0° and the battery has buldgedat both ends.

Is this covered under warranty replacement?

Car Quest failed to put my direct deposit in the bank! I cannot find anyone who knows a damn thing about what happened. They keep transferring me to some lady in India that doesn't speak clear English! Who is going to reimburse me for bounced checks? Crazy mickey mouse organization!

Would like to report Williston by. Economy motor sales. Tried out a truck on Saturday said I would go to the bank on Monday for a loan. They said ok. Got loan early Wednesday am. Asked for a $300 deposit on Thursday I said ok. Got a call in afternoon on Wednesday and was told the truck was sold. It's still on carquest. Had to drive 200 miles in order to see it. This is not right.

I brought 6 quarts of oil and a filter and you charged me 3 different price for the oil. I brought this to your employees attention and they said there is nothing they can do. Well i see this a bad customer service and i would not recommend any to your parts store. I am not very happy with what i was told and i dont like being ripped off with so called oil change specials this no way to keep customers.

I went to buy sum new struts for my truck at the spokane valley pines store, and I waited about over 30 minutes before I received help, when I was the only one in the store...okay I was okay with that but the mangerJamie and I asked her if they had the part in stock and I waited again for another 30minutes and so I was all ready an hour and so I left and when I was getting she was just agreeing with some guy outside...so I guess she had more important things to do then help me...and I've been going to that store for years and I've never met someone so unprofessional,and so rude to me cause I was in a hurry, but I waited and when I went to my truck she saw me and I said thanks for the help and gives the middle finger....so I'm never going back to the valley pines car quest ever again and I couldn't believe that she's the manager of that store.

Hello: I just wanted to let you know that today I had wonderful service at store # 8302 in Sacramento,Ca. with JOSE, the store Manager. I was returning some break parts , he helped me get them out of my trunk and gave me a refund to my debit card. He was a outstanding employee.. This is the best customer service in a auto parts store that I have ever received too. I just wanted to let the corporate office know about him. He represents your company extremely well;. I have been a customer at the Kalkaska, MI location for over 30 years and never have had such bad service since recently. I ordered a set of shocks for my truck and was told they would be in the next morning. So, I took my old ones off and the next morning went to get the parts. They ordered the wrong ones! No apology, nothing! The previous day, I bought a small bottle of acetylene only to find when I got home (14 miles away) that the bottle was empty! I took it back and exchanged it and again, No apology, nothing. Just a smart remark about not knowing how much gas in in the tanks they sell. Not going to this store again even if I have to travel for a part. By they way, we have an O'Rielly's, an Advance Auto Parts and an Auto Value in our town of Kalkaska, MI. Guess they don't want my business anymore.

Hello-

I visited your store on New Bern Ave. today in Raleigh.I attempted to explaing my problem-all my tail lights went out on my Sprinter- and I thought it had to be a fuse. Your associate said it had to be the bulbs themselves. He came outside to check and confirmed it to me and I asked if he had a star screwdriver and he opened the trunk to his car and pulled one form his tool box and began to take off the lens to examine which bulbs were bad. Then he went inside to go over the vast amount of bulbs to find the right ones and fit them perfectly. Thankfully, there was another associate there and when a few more customers came in he went back to help his comrade. He kept coming back to help and it made my day as I am not too mechanically inclined in fact not at all. I think his name was Darren- an African-American man. I hope you can recognize a prize employee for what he is.

I called your Lebanon Kentucky store for a part for my truck. The clerk looked up on the computer and as he was talking, he would use foul language. Then he would continue to use foul language while trying to figure out what he was looking at. A simple egr valve is all I needed, but I didn't need to hear the garbage that was coming from his mouth. Is this the kind of disrespect you guy hire to treat your customers? I will no longer be going back to carquest for anything else if this is the kind of garbage come from this place.

I bought a water pump from Sheffield CARQUEST in Kansas City Missouri and the water pump busted in half and tore the hood up on my truck toward the fan belt the fan went through the radiator in the hood of my truck and I need some help with this cuz I cannot afford to buy all these parts when I just bought that water pump my name is Curtis Neal my telephone number is could you please give me a call on this thank you

Called and got to leave message !!! I bought a starter for 1997 nisson maxima in the store that was taken over by your company store . They said they couldn't stand by the lifetime warranty , because there was no way to track the sale !! You would think it would be in the computer files . It cost me an extra 125.00 after tax . I got another one at different store !!! I'm on fixed income and it really hurt my budget !! I'll think twice before I go back to your store. Did repairs on equipment at one of their locations approximately 7 months ago and still haven't been paid. Tried calling headquarters several times and all it does is ring. Very poor on their payments.
