I called Linksys to get help with my router and was told I had to buy a plan by a person I could barely understand. I will not be buying from Linksys any more. You've lost a long time coustomer. Congratulations.

I recently ordered a new router from linksys. When ordering I made the customer service rep aware that I had relocated from Oklahoma to Arkansas. The last thing I said before concluding the conversation was asking the rep to repeat the shipping address. They advised me I should receive it in 3 or 4 days. On the 5th day I received a call from my realtor that the router was delivered to my previous home. I called customer service and after 45 minutes of getting the run around was finally connected to a supervisor. I told her that as a result of their error I would have to travel 200 miles to retrieve the router. The best she could offer was either to have UPS pick it up and bring it to my new address. I told her this was not an option because I should have had it yesterday. Waiting another 3 days or more was not an option. The alternative was for me to send it back to get a refund, or they would refund $15.00 of my purchase price. When I told her that $15.00 was unacceptable as it would cost me at least $50.00 to go to oklahoma to retrieve it not to mention my time plus the 45 minutes of my time on the phone trying to resolve the issue. I worked in customer service for over 20 yrs. Apparently customer service deteriorates when the call center is in the Philippines. It's been a horrible experience and I would recommend to all to avoid linksys at all cost.

I am TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH LINKSYS CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT. ON SUNDAY 5/29/16 I SPENT about 1 hour because the wifi connection to my laptop was NOT working. Before the tech would go further, she insisted that I purchase 'remote-in' service at $19.99, however, she NEVER remoted in!!!! Today I call customer service who has given me a rash of 'you know what'; I requested a supervisor and left on hold for 12 mins; so this is my next step. I DO NOT WISH TO MAKE THIS A LEGAL ISSUE BUT THIS TYPE OF SERVICE IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. JUST GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK!!!!!!!

I would like to be able to contact customer service by email but they have no email addresses. Some of it is regarding feedback but I also have some problems with my account since I've been ordering Linksys products for years but there's nothing in my order history.

Linksys tech-support is the worst of any company I know. I recently purchased a Linksys EA6500 Smart WiFi Wireless Router AC1750 Dual Band 802.11ac from them. I had trouble with the set up so I had to call them. The first guy couldn't figure it out so we hung up on me. The second person I gave her my phone number so she could call me back in case we got disconnected. She also put me on hold and never came back and I was disconnected.

The next person walked me through something that worked temporarily, then failed after I was off the phone. The next guy said that everything the first guy did was wrong so he put me through something else and when it didn't work he put me on hold and then disconnected me. At that point I gave up and shipped It back.

The worst part was that every time I called the customer service reps went through a big long spiel about purchasing tech-support for a year. This took several minutes and then finally I could ask my question. This was so annoying.

I talk to tech-support with other companies and they are nothing like this. Most companies have email addresses in case it's something that needs to be addressed that way. But I don't know of any other company that spends the first several minutes selling you something that you don't want. And it was almost like a threat...they said that after my tech-support time is up there is no way they will ever help me again. This does not give you very much confidence in their products.

After spending over an hour on the phone the service rep told me my Linksys was frozen up (daa). I asked what he was going to do and he said it would required advance troubleshooting. Okay lets due it but no, we needed to do some resets. From the start will all this resets, plug in and unplugs I knew this was going to be a joke but I did it anyway. Being put on hold so many times bothered me because he came back on the line and had me do more resets. It might have partly been me in not understanding his commands, there was an accent that confused me. I also got to change a lot of my computer network adapter settings (which I knew was a mistake) and still - Yep your wright - It was still frozen which would require advance troubleshooting. I could tell the Rep was reading off a check list with no idea what was going on. I finally hung up the phone before I exploded and ended up frozen like my Linksys router. Never again with a Linksys product and I have been a customer for over 15 years as well as my company.

Lost a good valuable customer

Having just got off with the support person at Linksys I would say that the support they offer is a 0.5 out of 10. The support person was more interested in mking sure that I was signed up for more support in 90 days than getting my router issue corrected. I have been a linksys person all of my internet life. No longer. They are quite bad. A word to the wise - buy something else. I will next time.

I contacted Linksys customer support after noticing their website's support section was down. Linksys enjoys touting its so-called "award winning" customer service program. After several minutes on hold I was finally connected to a Linksys representative who was not aware of the problem with the website. She indicated it would take a couple of hours for the site to be back online. I asked the representative if she could simply email me the small bin file for my router's firmware upgrade. She said she could not. My small request would have taken just a few minutes to fulfill. Linksys customer service is award winning alright. It wins the award for most unhelpful.

worst customer service i have ever experienced. someone from India, could not understand them, took control of my computer via remote (like an idiot i let them), did not fix the problem, wanted to charge me $99.00 a year for support, now i am afraid they stole information from my computer, Linksys sucks, never will i buy a Linksys router again.

I DO NOT trust the technical support of Linksys and as a result of my recent experience I describe below, would never recommend any of their products! My e2500 Linksys router was working well. In less than 6 months my password was no longer working. I called technical support thinking that it would literally take less than 1 minute to reset my password. Instead, I got a guy on the phone with a difficult (Indian) accent to understand. He asked me for my phone number, which I refused at first --- he would not go further until I provided him with a phone number that he could reach me on. He called me on the number I provided and proceeded then to ask me to give him access to my computer through a remote link set up. Again, I refused and again he would not go further to help. Very reluctantly, I provided him with the remote link ID and password. He then handed the phone over to his "supervisor" who also had a difficult Indian accent and who identified "errors" on my computer which he claimed required cleaning. He promised after the cleaning of my computer, he would reset the router and everything would work again, but would require up to 45 min --- giving him access to my computer remotely for that length of time didn't sound right to me! In addition, he proceeded to mention that this technical service would cost me $90! I told him I could go buy a new router for that cost. He continued to say that the problem would still exist with a new router and said I could pay after he's completed the work. This seemed very shady to me since I was able to reset my password on my old router previously for free. Linksys provided the set up address for my old router in its set up manual, and it was a simple push of a button. Here are my recommendations: (i) do not purchase Linksys products if you think you'll need technical support; (ii) if you already purchased a Linksys product, return it; (iii) if you can't return don't call technical service---they will charge you a ridiculous fee for something as simple as a reset of your password; (iv) try unplugging your router and plug it back in to reset--- this should work; (v) all else fails, use your router like a Frisbee and start over. good luck!

Once again, I bought a Cisco Linksys product, thinking that it would be the answer to my home wireless network problems. Once again I've been very disappointed by the product itself and your convoluted and frustrating customer support process. This time it was the RE1000 range extender. I couldn't get it set up. Not only was the online instruction fruitless, but also the owner's manual on the installation disc was written in nearly every language BUT English -- which I had expected it to have since I had bought the item in North Carolina, USA. After more than two hours of swearing, I finally found a support telephone number that answered -- somewhere in India, I think. I'm not sure, because the person's accent was so difficult for this USA resident to understand that I simply could not tell. She did, however, get me through the installation, but, alas, the unit not only did not extend my router's range, it disrupted my network and had to be unplugged so that I could at least use my old, inadequate signal that my to-of-the-line E67500 LINKSYS router was supposed to have provided even without an extender. I've given up. If it were not illegal, I would throw the RE1000 into the ocean. Instead, I will put it in my trash recycling bin. I will not buy another Cisco product. I have finally, after many disappointments and frustrations, learned my lesson. I don't know of the products of other manufacturers are any better, but certainly they cannot be any worse.

I am a fool for not reading these comments before I bought this daggone router. I called and got a man who probably is a good guy but he speaks with a slurred accent and has extreme difficulty speaking English. He also said he will change me to answer any more questions if I call back after 9 days when my warranty runs out. I bought this thing at Walmart and I am going to take it back to them for a refund or store credit. Then I will buy a Netgear that I know will work.

linksys is junk, their customer service is trash, ive called many times to receive people who speak very broken English and it is very hard to even understand what they are saying , not only is that frustrating but they keep telling me i am out of warranty and that i need to pay 60.00 to have a simple problem resolved all i need is for my passwork to be reset because im not able to use a product that i paid linksys for with out knowing the password , this is ridiculous and linksys will never see another cent of my money or my businesses money again

Called tech support. Got some body quickly.
Seemed friendly. Asked for model and serial number of my wireless bridge. Told
him what was wrong and that I had reset it. He said reset was correct. Went away for 2 min. Came back and said my model
was too old for support. It was 1.5 yrs
old- not too old I would think. Never gave me a chance for paid support- just hung up
and left me holding the phone.

I will NEVER buy another Linksys or cisco
product again!!!!

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I DO NOT RECOMMEND LINKSYS TO ANYONE
Wireless router suddenly stopped working this morning- after I tried to reconfigure it online without success, I called customer service .

I spent almost an hour on hold. The agent was quite rude + did not speak English clearly

Worst part was after about 10 mins of helping me reconfigure the router, WHILE SHE WAS HELPING ME she informs me i'm out of warranty and WILL NOT HELP ME FURTHER without pay.

I do know what warranty means- I would have even paid the $29.99 if it wasn't for such terrible customer service. Taking my business
elsewhere.

I spent over an hour on their hold & after getting a live person, I couldn't understand a word they were saying. If the company wants to do business with the the USA, they should at least have people that communicate in English. Their customer service doesn't understand English well enough to give an easy "yes" or "no" answer to a question. They have to read everything from a script which means they cannot communicate, on their own, in English. I have had their wireless router for less than 30 days & apparently they think it is already "out of warranty" & they cannot help me without an additional $29.99. Not only will I not be giving them any more money; I'm returning their product tomorrow for a refund & telling everyone who will listen about their unacceptable customer service.

I have bought 3 Linksys routers over the past two years. When I spoke to an agent today, she first informed me that because the one I was working with at the time was out of warranty and she would give me only the basic help. She was very hard to understand and when I didn't hear her, she began to yell at me. I treated her with the utmost of courtesy and did nothing to warrant this treatment.I am 66 years old and my own grandchildren wouldn't treat someone this way and they are children. I will never, ever buy or recommend Linksys to anyone.

Do you understand what the warranty is?

Go Back to school people..

Don't expect free support if you are outside of the free tech service..that means for any configurations changes that you wanna make with your Linkys, Netgear, Belkin, D-link devices, there will be a fee-based options even if you just wanna change/reset the wireless key or the password..and you can't avoid that if you wanna go wireless..of course if you need help..if you're not covered anymore..then what do you expect?..

I called the number. And they were very helpful. They stayed on the phone with us until our internet got fixed. We weren't charged anything, the guy spoke perfect English, and he was very helpful.

LINKSYS HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. JUST CALLED IN AN HOUR AGO AND I GOT CONNECTED TO INDIA OR SOMETHING(TIMBUKTU MAYBE). AND HIS ENGLISH VOCABULARY IS TOTALLY HORRIBLE!!NO OFFENSE WITH INDIANS BUT YOU GUYS HAVE THE WORST ENGLISH SPEAKING SKILLS!!THE TECH DIDNT EVEN KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING AND KEEP ON BLAMING THAT THE PROBLEM WAS MY ISP,WELL I WAS ABLE TO BROWSE THE INTERNET BEFORE I PLUGGED IN THAT JUNK LINKSYS DEVICE I GOT FROM WALMART.TOTALLY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THAT CALL

After reading this board, i called and I braced for the worst but was pleasantly surprised. The tech, who spoke perfect English, helped fix my (admittedly small) problem and clearly warned me when we were about to enter paid help territory. I feel for the folks that were put in bad positions having to pay for assistance as that has happened to me before with Dell customer support. But I also felt like some praise was due once in a while here too.

HORRIBLE, as soon as i asked for help with my router well that will cost you either 29.95 or 39.95 for me to help you. I am doing what I would recomend anyone thinkig of buying Linksys. Put it back on the shelf and buy another brand. This is my 3 rd time trying to get help with this router. I was able to figure it out my self the 1st 2 times. PROMISE, as of this moment Linkysy never sees another penny of mine

I have had a reoccurring problem with my new Linksys E2500. I called this center and received prompt and competent help. The technician identified that the problem is with the ISP, not the router.

Good service over all.
